À propos de ce contenu audio

One of the most famous science books of our time, the phenomenal national bestseller that “buzzes with energy, anecdote and life. It almost makes you want to become a physicist” (Science Digest).

Richard Feynman, one of the world’s greatest theoretical physicists, thrived on adventure. His outrageous exploits once shocked a Princeton dean’s wife to exclaim: “Surely you’re joking, Mr. Feynman!”

In this phenomenal national bestseller, the Nobel Prize–winning physicist recounts in his inimitable voice his experiences trading ideas on atomic physics with Einstein and Bohr and ideas on gambling with Nick the Greek, painting a naked female toreador, accompanying a ballet on his bongo drums, and much else of an eyebrow-raising and hilarious nature. Woven together with his views on science, Feynman’s life story is a combustible mixture of high intelligence, unlimited curiosity, eternal skepticism, and raging chutzpah.

"A chain reaction is not a bad analogy for Feynman's life. From a critical mass of gray matter it goes off in all directions, producing both heat and light." ( Time)

I enjoyed this book tremendously, far beyond my expectations. The author is both a great mind and a curious but maliciously irreverent character. One if my favorite reads of all time. Very good performance by the reader too, who perfectly conveys the author’s mischievousness.

    Very fun and highly instructive

An absolute gem! Surely You’re Joking, Mr. Feynman! is not just a collection of brilliant stories—it’s a reminder that even the most extraordinary minds are curious, playful, and wonderfully human. Feynman’s adventures feel surprisingly relatable for anyone who’s ever chased an idea just for the joy of it. Inspiring, hilarious, and endlessly engaging. 5 stars!

Incoherent. Random. Insignificant. This book was recommend to me yet it hardly deserves any listening time. Enjoying the silence instead surely is more intellectually rewarding.

The reading is VERY good. They did a great job.
Feynman however, … well, focus on his Physics because the man… I can’t believe it. So full of himself. At the beginning you think WOW he’s amazing and so funny! … then you realize he only makes fun of others never himself, then he explains why he treats women like … , and how everything he touches turns into gold, from painting to music to whatever and how everybody is amazed, and how he has no flaws… really the guy you do NOT want to be friends with.
His conclusion is : I wish you to have the freedom to have my integrity. … really Feynman? Urgh. Love the Physicist, hate the character.

Read his Physics not his book. What- An- Arrogant prick - so disappointing - Not worth reading
