Description

The people we surround ourselves with may impact our lives more than any other factor, yet most people leave their social lives to chance. What would happen if you treated social skills as though they were indeed skills and became proactive about your social life? Superhuman Social Skills is a transformative book that analyzes and explains how to be likeable, how to converse, how to tell stories, how to make friends, and how to combine those friends to create an incredible social circle. If you ever feel socially awkward, don't know what to say, or wish you had more or better friends, Superhuman Social Skills is for you.

Unfortunate

The most likeable people are the ones who are truly themselves and honest with their feelings and reactions. If you follow the ideas in this book it will make you more social, but it’s a superficial fix. Work on self development and confidence.

How to win friends and influence people for your personal life

It’s a shame this book doesn’t get more attention. This is the most concise and practical book to making friends that matter. There are thousands of self-help or personal development books out there. Most of them don’t talk much about having friends and the ones that do don’t provide actionable advice. I personally think it’s because most people think wanting to make friends is fake or wouldn’t want anyone to know they have poor social skills. This book actually surprised me because it showed me how intelligent it is to consciously choose our friends and that our social skills or ability isn’t a constant, but something that can be changed. In this book, Tynan provides a simple actionable approach that’s useful for the socially inept and adept at making friends. It also leaves you with a good mindset on how to approach making friends and being a good friend. Worth a listen!
