A Brief History of Time is a famous work of popular science. The famous physicist, in some ways successor to Isaac Newton and Einstein, explains complex concepts in astronomy and physics in a way that anyone can understand.

Great book, great recording
Hawking is a master at taking complex problems of the universe and relating them to everyday situations that are relatable to any reader. I do feel that some science background and prior knowledge of the forces at bay in the universe will make this piece even more spectacular.

i m happy with this book
I found it incredibly interesting even though I could barely grasp the concepts being described. I think one need a better foundation in Chemistry and Physics to truly comprehend the subject matter but I give it thumbs up for trying to explain what I consider to be the unexplainable.

I have a physics background and found some parts difficult to follow. Stephen gives all the history but glosses over things a bit too much I think.

Great Way To Write A Summary
The concepts covered in this book are complex, but Dr. Hawking has explained them in the most accessible way possible - quite a feat, requiring in-depth and thorough understanding of the material.

Well Done
The author helpfully skips over the most complicated proofs that would require a deep knowledge of astrophysics and mathematics -- you get a clear glimpse of what the universe holds. Religious people, too, would benefit to better understand the science and see how it implicitly leaves a prominent place for a God..

A great deal of information
Stephen Hawking takes a fascinating but incredibly complicated subject and breaks it down. While he clearly has brilliant mind he does not forget that some of us do not. He speaks to us all. Everyone should listen to this at least once.

Nice Summary
Always wanted to learn more about this guy. A little too much science and physics but what can you expect from this genius. Nicely written...easy to understand!

I enjoyed this book
I never had the original book but this author has made me understand enough that i don't even need to have the original book. Bravo! it is a complete summary indeed and I recommend it.

amazing book
His theoretical treatment of time is well balanced. He spends the time necessary to present multiple views. Well worth the time to listening to this audio-book.
