Not many books I give 5 starts

Brilliant!

Loved this approach. Very practical. Narrator was easy on the ear. My first audible book!

offers no solution

Any additional comments?

It spends too many times talking about problems and very little about solution to them. I'm not one of those people who create solutions only by gaining insight. So this book does not work for me.

Best self-help book I’ve listened to / read ... if i’d choose one book to listen to , it’s this one !

Truly an amazing book with amazing narration ! A true professional approach , and narrated it almost feels like a therapy session where the therapist explains what happens in your mind and emotions . Genuinely couldn’t get enough of it , breakthroughs happen every other chapter . I also love that the author encourages actually getting professional help that’s specific to the person but just shows you where the patterns are not good and gives exercises that help shift those . The exercises are not cheesy and very doable and they WORK ! I’m gonna give this book multiple listens after this first one .. highly encourage anxious people and people who have heavy internal lives to listen to this ! It’s The ONe book you need to listen to !

Good content. Bad narration.

The content is good but the reader lacks intonation. She sounds like machine reading sometimes.

Insightful

I highly recommend. I was amazed at how the brain works in conjunction to how we are raised. The end of chapter exercises were very helpful in uncovering some pass hurts that causes me to 'flood'. I especially like the real life patient examples & could relate. The narration was nice and engaging. The one drawback for me was that I found myself constantly rewinding to fully understand a passage, so a physical book in this case would be better for reference/note taking. But I enjoyed the content overall.

Most amazing book in the emotion regulation area

In 5 hours. the author explained various aspects in details how your emotion can be transformed using various analogies and factors.
