    Description

What happens when the god of chaos wins a divine poker game?

    Bee-girls.

The life of a giant bee is a simple one. The life of a giant bee when her queen turns the entire hive into human-like apis to fend off an attack? That’s a good deal more complicated.

Getting down from a 50-foot giant rose without wings while surviving the attacks of malevolent wasps is just a start. Surviving long enough to figure out what to do with her new life proves to be something of a challenge, but at least that much is understandable.

Of course, that’s when she gets sucked into the tangled web of an ambitious demon lord who’s threatening to plunge the world into a war.

The only question is, are the gods done with her yet?

Such a Cute Story and Characters!

I loved this story so much that I bought the sequel novel long before I finished the first novel.

The story surrounds bee women and a fictional world where everyone seems to be living in an MMORPG, but unaware of this. The world building is lovely and the story is adorable. The "bee girls" are absolutely adorable and you will quickly find yourself rooting for them. While there are plenty of romantic encounters and relationships, they feel pretty realistic, given the setting, and add to thee story.

Beautiful world building, fun and cute characters, and an interesting plot will have you screaming, "For the Queen!" in no time!

    Gamers might like it.

In essence it's a story about a new race/ new expansion in a video game world. The characters don't know its a video game, but it's clearly a video game. I'm a gamer I liked it. Ready for next in series.

    Fun female-centric LitRPG

This book was a fun listen with excellent voice talent. The RPG portion is a little less crunchy than many LitRPG books while also using dialog to give exposition about the world and how things work. These sessions of exposition ocassionally slow the pacing, but only in reasonable places and never too long to be a distraction. Finally, my favourite feature: no heavy handed politics that can sometimes become a distraction in female centric books. The story is key here, and the characters just happen to primarily be female. It works, and it works well.

    a very good read

This is the first lit rpg like novel book I've listened to from this author though if focused more on the story rather than stats which is good. It was enjoyable from start to finish and I only wish it was a little longer though.

I've listened to a few of the authors others book and this is their best one by far. I can't wait for the next book to find out what else happens with Joy.

^^ Don't be turned off by that busty bee cover.

    By a rule of tumb,
I stay away from anything that try to do the whole "Sex Sells" book cover stuff.

But if found the intro intressting and kinda wanted to give it atleast a chance.

    Three points to check:
    1. Has it a Story = Yes it certainly does, a good one even.
    2. Is the MC op? = NO for godsake, the MC is "normal" ... thank god. Maybe she got a bit more luck then average, but that's that.
    3. Is it only sex sells past the cover? = Nope. Actual story driven plot. Cute and sexy female characters are there, but they're not just eye candy. Every Character got a life, a meaning and a story behind them. With their own drives of what makes them go on.

Overall this is a gameish world.
Where you level up by killing stuff that is higher level or generally by challangeing yourself.
So you probably wont level , if your level 100 grandpa gives you the chance to do the killing blow on an elder dragon.

I enjoyed this book. With way to few bee jokes, i expected it to bee full of them.
    *Stupid laugh*
Anyways. If you enjoy a good laugh. An interesting world, where the game mechanics aren't abused to make that MC as OP as a he can be in the shortest amount of time possible. Then go ahead, take the plunge and bee amazed.
    *chuckles*

I wish there was more bee jokes in there.
And that it wasn't so short q.q.

Oh and yes. The voice actress is just perfect for this.
And clearly seems to enjoy giving that book a voice. Even if her singing is kinda off note ... or was that purposefully?
