Genetic engineers Clive Nicoli and Elsa Kast are on the cusp of a world-changing discovery—until a fearful public shuts down their research. Undeterred, they go rogue, retreating into the shadows to create Dren: a human-animal hybrid whose intelligence and rapid evolution exceed anything they imagined.
At first, Dren is a miracle. Then she becomes something else entirely—too powerful to confine, too cunning to predict, and far too alluring to ignore. Based on the visionary film by Vincenzo Natali, SPLICE is a provocative tale of rogue science, blurred boundaries, and the monsters we create—both in the lab and within ourselves. A modern Frankenstein story steeped in transgression and tragedy, it explores the limits of human nature, and the dark kinship we share with the unknown.
