This book is a chronicle of a personal search for spiritual enlightenment. John Mucai starts by finding out what religion means. He then looks at the different religions in the world today and zeros in on four major ones: Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism. The followers of these four religions account for approximately 80 percent of the world’s population. He looks at their beliefs, practices, and sacred texts.
While the book would be of immense interest to theologians, it is not a book on theology. Instead, it is an attempt by the author to seek spiritual enlightenment by sifting through religious literature. The author’s findings are illuminating. Every listener will find something of value in the book to give their life a better meaning.
