I have exactly 5 hours and 10 minutes to get from Boston to New York City or the professional opportunity of a lifetime disappears. My only travel option? The second to last seat on a discount bus. Across from the bathroom. Wearing last night’s clothes (don’t ask). All worth it if I can make it in time.
My nerves almost get the best of me, but then there he is, sitting down in the seat next to me. Tall. Friendly smile. Bright indigo streak in his brown hair. The perfect distraction. Turns out he’s on his way to reconnect with an old flame. The one who got away. We can both make it on time - just barely - if the traffic keeps flowing.
Playing road-trip games, avoiding calls from his mother, and effortless conversation keeps us from clockwatching...until the bus breaks down. And my seatmate turns into my copilot as we wrangle a ride in a car three decades old. And hit all the traffic. And oh, Lord, the detours. And somehow I end up careening cross-town on the handlebars of a Citi Bike carrying a box of kittens. (Yeah, don’t ask.)
He’s my hero every step of the way...and I might be falling for him. But what happens when we reach our final destination? Could my seatmate really be my soul mate?

My baby Zachary did it again ! I’m in love ! So much chemistry! I love the dialogues, the personalities and the story. I Almost cried because I fell so hard for Sam and I really need a man like this ! Hats off to the author

I kept laughing so hard all through the book it was embarrassing when people noticed it in the street. Very well written, loved the characters and the performance was excellent

The best of the three
This title was so fun and cute. I loved the character's chemistry, the road trip setting. A really great romance with family stories, friendship, ambition, photography ..
I loved the other two books in the serie but this one, I think, is my favorite.

Loved it!!!!
This book was so great. I’ve loved the other books Cara Bastone has written so I was so excited to listen to this one. These books are such unique audiobooks and are just so fun to listen to.
Gwen and Sam were adorable and had so much chemistry from the get go. I loved how they joked together and made the best of all of the ridiculous situations. Their entire journey had me cracking up and swooning all at the same time.
Zachary Webber is a favorite narrator of mine and as usual he delivers the perfect performance. I’ve never listened to Amanda Ronconi, but I definitely will in the future. That girl PERFORMS. She was absolutely excellent. All of the other performers did a great job, too. I can honestly say everyone was cast perfectly.
I 1000% recommend this book, especially if you loved her others!

Damn you Cara Bastone, damn you!
as with the previous two in the series I finished this one with a little giggle and a bit of a sniffle. This book was as fun and sweet as they get and I love you for it Ms. Bastone! The characters had a fun filled adventure of a day while getting to know each-other in a way i can relate with (oh the joys of traveling on a cramped bus). I really do hope there is more to this collection of Love Lines and maybe, Just maybe, Loma will get her own story <3

All around perfection!
I have been waiting for the series to continue. Call Me Maybe was my favorite...until now. Seat Mate was such a cute story without being super cheesy. Actually felt like listening to a real conversation. Completely organic. Not so much internal dialogue like the other 2. Not better or worse just different. Love the characters and narration was exactly what was needed. I mean Hello Zachary Webber....need I say more. But all narrators were so great. The friend was hilarious. Just like the other 2 book the story is too good you want it to continue. If I could pick 1, I would want this storyline to have a follow up. Must listen if you want to just enjoy a good story.

…. I just HAD to.
While I would love to leave a lengthy review, there truly is no need for all that. This book was another level in audio book listening!! Great story, FANTASTIC narration and just all around amazeballs so yeah, this isn’t one to miss.

So much fun!
I love the idea of multiple cast members and this book is full of little snippets of laugh-out-loud characters. Sam and Gwen have great chemistry! This book is a must if you love witty banter and a HEA.

Amazing
Everything was amazing; from the story to the characters and performance. Also, the way the narrators acted made me feel what the characters were feeling, it was mind-blowing. And the story was hilarious. Would definitely recommend.

Such a fun listen!
It was fun to listen to the evolution of their friendship and adventures for the day.(even though a bit over the top events sometimes).
Just two somewhat regular people developing a connection. No billionaire, or steamy sex scenes, but great chemistry that was enjoyable.
Highly recommend if you want to laugh and smile…go for it!

So well narrated, I was captivated
I didn’t expect that I would be so enamored by this story, but the narration really drew me in. I was able to relate to both their characters and was charmed by both as well. The whole scenario was very believable and had fun twists and turns, and lots of awkward moments, just like real life!

Loved every bit of it
This is the third book of Cara Bastone that I‘ve listened to and I can’t deny that I‘m utterly sadnow that I have just binged them away the last couple of days and that there is no one left one on audible now😅🙈 the characters are lovely and the narrators just as well ♥️♥️

I WAS SWOONING THE HELL OUT OF THIS!!!
Especially because of Sam. Shit that guy was perfect. And not just because of the voice he was given by Zachary Webber (my all-time favorite one).
Wow! This was so good and so much fun! It’s more like a play than just a plane audiobook and the performance of all narrators involved, esp the two main ones, was fantastic.
The story itself is simple. Take a five hours bus ride, sit next to a cute woman/man and kinda fall in love. A five hours road-trip adventure where like everything happens, from a broke down bus to rescuing a box of kittens off the street, all while Gwen and Sam get to know a lot about each other and their lives. The way both of them lead their lives is so very different but I loved how they were so incredibly supportive of one another. And I can’t stress this enough - how Amanda and Zachary brought these characters and the story to life with their acting skills was incredibly good. So entertaining, so sweet and in the end so romantic. Really *chefs kiss!

Realistic
Love all Cara Bastone storys. It is so real- like you are hearing the process of their falling in love in real time.
The whole audible is the conversation between the two, and you watch it go from polite to friendly to flirty and so on. Complex characters like actual human beings are. The book made me joyfull and excited.
