impressed beyond words
no other book has made me think and questioning our existence in this manner. if humanity would truthfully answer the last question in the book there would be only peace and love. so greatful to this author with an unspellable name.

Great!
This was a pretty good heart-wrenching tragic short story.I am really like this story.Fantastic and excellent narration liked by all.This is a flawless story--excellent descriptions and yet no wasted words.

Passionnant!
J'ai adoré, c'était vraiment passionnant! Le lecteur est captivant. Le seul problème, je dirais, c'est qu'il y a un nombre incalculable de connaissances et d'informations à la minute, on aurait envie de s'attarder sur chacune d'entre elles mais une lecture auditive ne le permet pas vraiment, à moins de revenir sans cesse en arrière. Cet ouvrage est peut être plus adapté à la lecture visuelle. Mais cela ne change rien au fait que je me suis régalée.

Fascinating
I loved this book and found the narrator's voice really easy to listen to.
The book was really thought provoking and felt like a well balanced review of different theories and a good summary of a massive amount of human history

really well written and easy to understand
This book offers an overview of our history without the boring details that are usually a part of the field of history. i warmly recommend especially if you don't usually enjoy history.

A must read for the 21st century
An absolute must for anyone attempting to understand who we are and where we cone from, and how we came to be as a society. Compelling arguments that leave a lot to be pondered. A great read!

Excellent book, and incredible reader
This work of art brings you to the very beginning of our history, and makes you think a lot about our place in this world.
Was mankind a mistake? The book is not fatalist in any way, incredibly neutral and objective, but the very last sentence says a lot: "Is there anything more dangerous than dissatisfied and irresponsible gods who don't know what they want?"
My respect also goes to Derek Perkins, perfect voice and impeccable diction.
I can't wait to "read" the second book.

The single best book at Audible
Sapiens is a truly mind blowing book. One of those that you wish to never end, so you could still learn something more. It covers the whole history of humankind, from the early phase of our species, through our progress of conquering the planet, to the current culture and economy mechanism and finally possible future outcomes and serious issues to come.
Throughout the book author takes a very fresh approach to many of the topics, often looking at them from the planet perspective, with surprising comparisons between the cultures and other species or organizations.
He shows that many of the issues that bother us may be far less important and more imagined than we are tricked to think and also that many standards and rights we take as granted are just some abstract cultural creations or community management tricks.
On top of all that one can see the scale of the destruction and suffering caused by humans already and the direction of current changes. Finally it raises an important question - are we getting any more happy? Obviously this one and many others the reader must figure out by himself, but the author helps a lot to structure the current knowledge.
Last, but not least all the argumentation is really consistent and complete and in no moment I felt like it's a fraud of any kind. However, some implications may be a bit too generalized and therefore one must be cautious and critical, as always.
