The end of the world arrived alongside a massive blizzard that hit Colorado Springs. During the storm, people began losing their minds. These unfortunate souls became giddy killers, laughing as they murdered. Every assault was a twisted joke to them, every death a cause for hysterics.
No one was safe. They hunted everyone, young and old alike.
Joined by an old man and a teenage girl, Reggie must track his psychotic brother through this apocalyptic nightmare. Mike, his brother, has kidnapped Sheena, the woman Reggie has just begun to love. Sheena reminds him of another woman he cherished, one Mike murdered long ago.
Reggie is determined not to lose another loved one to his brother. But to save Sheena, he must overcome the ever-present threat of the "laughers" - those consumed by hysterical madness. They lurk around every corner, a constant menace in the shadows.
What Reggie doesn't know is that the laughers are just the beginning. A mysterious stranger arrives with a chilling warning. He speaks of a dark force, growing and spreading, seeking those who have escaped the laughers' disease.
As Reggie and his newfound allies hunt Mike and fight to save Sheena, an unstoppable evil descends upon Colorado, targeting them all.
