Charles and Lizzie Peterson love puppies. They want a puppy of their own more than just about anything. They know dogs are a lot of work. This is the first installment of the adorable Puppy Place series. Little Charles and Lizzie Peterson love dogs, but their mom insists the family isn't ready for one of their own. When their dad brings home a very young golden retriever, the kids set out to prove to mom that they can handle the responsibility of keeping him. It isn't easy! In the end the family works out a compromise that keeps Goldie close to home, and the kids get another puppy to foster. A great crash course in the realities of puppy training, narrated in warm and sweet tones by Aliza Foss.
