Description

Rescuing damsels in distress is all in a day's work for Detective Nate Stone. After saving a beautiful woman from a burning car and an assassin's bullet, he vows to protect her. But the determined assassin always seems to be one step ahead of the game. Suspecting a leak within his Department, Nate takes Rose and runs. He soon discovers that the hardest part of the mission is resisting his desire for the woman who trusts him with her life.

Rose awakes in a hospital with no memory, only to discover that someone tried to kill her. Her only chance to survive an assassin's game of cat and mouse is the man who saved her and who has promised to protect her. She may not know her past, but she knows her heart, and it longs for her protective warrior, who ignites a passion in her she can't deny.

Horrible narration

I was looking for something quick to listen to and picked this book. The story was pretty much what I expected. However the guy narrating was just horrible. I can honestly say that if I see his name on any books in the future I won’t waste my time.

Good story, but...

The story itself was good, but the narration is hard to follow. All of the characters have the same tone, so it is difficult to follow. It was very hard to catch scene changes and additional characters, even a pause would help distinguish a change in character. I found myself having to go back and really focus to catch details lost in the monotone reading.

OMG!!

Any additional comments?

This narrator is horrible. I TRIED to listen to another of Ms. Yeko's books yesterday and the narrator, Alan Taylor, was really bad so I ended up just reading it. The narrator, Alan Taylor sounded just the same no matter who was talking and now this reader, Dave Achelis, is the same way. The heroine sounds just like the hero AND they sound old, too. What a shame that these two narrators read all of Ms. Yeko's books that are on audible and they both suck!!! This is a good book so I will finish it by reading it.
