Tony Blackburn is one of Britain's most iconic disc jockeys, a true pioneer of pop radio who has kept the nation entertained for decades. From his rebellious early days as a pirate radio DJ to becoming the golden voice of BBC Radio 1, Tony has seen it all - chart-topping hits, industry rivalries, lifelong friendships, and the ever-changing landscape of music broadcasting.

Now, as Radio 1 marks its 40th anniversary, Tony takes a nostalgic and revealing look back at his extraordinary career. With his trademark warmth and wit, he shares behind-the-scenes stories of the stars he's met, the ups and downs of life on the airwaves, and the passion for music that has driven him every step of the way.

Poptastic! captures Tony's own distinctive approach to radio - unapologetically enthusiastic, enduringly popular, and always in tune with the listeners who have made him a legend.©2007 Tony Blackburn (P)2007 Orion Publishing Group Limited Composers & Musicians Entertainment & Celebrities Entertainment & Performing Arts Music
