Miss Polly Harrington was content in her solitary life as a wealthy spinster, enjoying her quiet and orderly homestead in Vermont. She didn't care that her staff whispered and grumbled about her behind her back...she liked things the way they were.
Until one day, a letter arrived from a far Western town, informing her of a newly-orphaned niece with nowhere to go.
Pollyanna is 11 years old, and certainly not quiet and orderly. She bangs doors, climbs trees, and talks openly to everyone in town (including a certain gentleman that Miss Polly hopes to avoid).
Can Pollyanna learn to behave and follow the rules? Or will her optimism become contagious and force Miss Polly to finally be "glad" for once?
Listen to this classic, engaging tale of hope and learning to love again from Eleanor H. Porter, brought to life by narrator Laci Morgan.
