Andy MacKay, soldier-for-hire who’s not known for putting his own safety first, arrives home from his latest contract to find his life has turned from unpredictable to unpleasant. He’s arrested for attempted murder. No sooner does his lawyer clear his name than she’s abducted. Out of chivalry and a startling lack of self-preservation, Andy decides to find her.
The chase takes him on a scenic tour of Europe’s lesser-advertised amenities. From grim brothels and shadowy strip clubs to drug caches and remote execution sites, Andy is hunted by thugs and betrayed by allies. As he uncovers a global network of power, profit, and perversion, he finds at its centre a cold-blooded trafficker with ties to the KGB, Interpol, and his own past.
With his options running out, Andy must decide how far he’ll go to stop evil when the law won’t.
