I couldn’t finish
I tried really hard and actually made it to chapter 33 before I just couldn’t do it anymore. (And I was listening while packing my house to move so even making it that far was partly situational). It is the same thing over and over and over. Best friends secretly in love, sexual tension, hurt feelings, misunderstandings, keeping everything bottled in for the sake of the other person. That’s it on repeat. Exhausting.

I loved every second of this book
I read Beach Read last year and instantly fell in love with the narrator, Julia Whelan and the author Emily Henry. I knew when this book came out I needed to read it. I’m a die hard fantasy reader but there’s something about this authors writing that is so easy and addicting to read. Julia Whelan has also become my favorite narrator and I’ve already read 3 books shes narrated.
I highly recommend this book if your looking for something to get lost into and laugh out loud.

Slow, boring storyline
I kept waiting for it to get interesting and it just ... didn’t. Chapter after chapter of unnecessary and prolonged sexual tension. I love Julia Weylan’s work, but the book itself was just flat.

Title misleading, maybe, but loved the book.
The book is more about the crazy mixed up lives of the two main characters and not so much about the people they met on their vacations. Once I got into the book I was hooked. I wasn't a fan of some of the foul language, but not much of it though. I really enjoyed this book and it was different than other mixed up relationship books. The characters were pleasing and funny at times. Don't pass it up. I'm looking forward to another book by Emily Henry. Julia Whelan is one of my favorite narrators.

Blahblahblah
I found this book to be just so-so. If it was written to require very little of the listener’s attention then it’s a raging success. It’s without substance and the progression of the two main characters’ relationship is quite predictable. If you’re looking to mindlessly hear a story this is the book for you.

Wow. Just when you think Emily couldn’t get any better.
This book surpassed all of my expectations. I really was not prepared for how much it made me feel. There was one part in it where I was legitimately sobbing because I could understand what Poppy was feeling to my core. When she was talking about how Sarah didn’t even like karaoke (and Alex does) 😭 I put myself in her shoes and could feel her emotions. Emily has an insane way of being able to create such real lifelike characters. You 100% need to read this book right now. I can’t wait for her next one. Also this narrator is insanely talented. 💕

Wow.
What a sappy waste of time. It was like listening to a real dull friend go on and on about a guy she likes. Save yourself the money and call a friend you’ve been avoiding—same experience.

Emily Henry Must Be Cloned!!!! That’s the only way I think we can ever have an acceptable amount of her work! I loved this story! It leaves me wanting to go everywhere and nowhere, except to her next book!

Wer was nettes sucht ist hier richtig
Die Geschichte war nett, Poppi fand ich nett, Alex war auch nett. Alles nett, nicht mehr und nicht weniger.
Wahrscheinlich lag es nur an mir, aber ich konnte mich mit ihren Problemem nicht wirklich identifizieren. Es geht auch sehr wenig um Leute, die man im Urlaub trifft. Es geht einfach um die beiden: Harry and Sally eben (ich mochte Harry and Sally damals wie heute !).
Dieses Buch ist gut geschrieben, gut gelesen und es hat auch etwas mehr psychologischen Tiefgang als es das Cover erscheinen läßt, aber ein Nr-One New-York-Times-Bestseller? Ich hatte mir vor ein paar Monaten den "Beachread" von EH herunter geladen. Das Buch hatte mich aber so sehr gelangweilt, dass ich es nicht beenden konnte.
Aber vielleicht bin ich auch nur zu doof und unsensibel.

Nette Geschichte, aber etwas langatmig
Habe die Rückblende-Kapitel übersprungen. War mir etwas zu viel "tausendmal-berührt"... Ansonsten eine nette Liebesgeschichte

Nice Book
Overall it‘s a nice read, a cute story and interesting plot. I just didn’t like the jumps in time from past to present. I always have a hard time with this in books. So, it’s a personal thing. I also felt like the ending was very foreseeable. Nevertheless, I really like Emily Henry‘s writing style. I enjoyed Beach Read and Book Lovers very much. Recommend these books highly.

I cried at the end

Alex is tall
i got so annoyed by the amount of time it was stated how tall Alex is. At least, their falling in love made somewhat sence and wasn't solely dependent on him being tall and her being petite

Overrated and predictable
The title and the hype around the book promise something very different.
The Book has an incredibly predictable storyline, wich is told so slowly that it unfortunately gets boring. There isn’t really much happening, besides the main character describing her friend. And in such a way that we immediately understand that she will fall in love with him.
A lot of stereotypes of tipical heterosexual men and women are portrayed. For me it only stresses the issue that we live in a very sexualised society we’re men and women can’t be friends.

He said, she said...
I would have thought that everyone would know when "she" or "he" is speaking. It is annoying to have to listen to "he said, she said" after the majority of the sentences... I've enjoyed the story but that part was really unnecessary.
