    Pleasantly surprised by the frequent touches of humor interwoven in this touching funny mystery fantasy / love story. It is very interesting to get both main characters views on the scenes, in turns. Characters are believable and well thought of, even though the "bad" one is a bit obvious. They all have very definite personalities.

    A bit less thrilled by the horrific parts but at least, they are infrequent and the author does not give many gory details except in 2 scenes as follow.

    !Warning for sensitive persons!
    - you might want to skip the autopsy (difficult scene and not related to the plot)
    - and at chapter 37, from 4 minutes to 9min, quite related to the plot, but you will be told in less horrific details later on what happened
    Other than that, the author stays fairly soft on gore, especially since the story revolves around beserkers paladins and a serial killer.

    Language is at times a bit crude and there are a couple of explicit sex scenes, but consent and respect (even humor) are omnipresent.

    The narrator's voice is good: he does the civet extremely well ;-) both female and male voices are fine.

    J'ai adoré ce livre du début à la fin. Le worldbuilding est super intéressant, et les personnages très attachants (on rit avec eux autant qu'on hurle à l'injustice face à ce qui leur arrive). Mention spéciale à Grace, vraiment, une pépite ; elle a un métier très peu exploité à mon sens en fantasy, et c'était aussi intriguant que fascinant. J'ai écouté deux fois l'audio et je ne m'en lasse pas ; je re-découvre l'alchimie entre les personnages avec tellement de plaisir. Je conseille à 200% ! De plus, le narrateur donne vraiment vie à l'histoire et aux personnages. ** Je crois que sur les quatre tomes déjà sortis de la saga, celui-ci reste mon préféré !

    The sweetest love story. Kingfisher did it again. Emotional, beautiful character design, definitely a joy to listen to.

    The second Stephen started knitting, I was hooked. This is a lovely tale, and while it's light and heartwarming, I admire the way the author threads "trauma" into her characters' personality, giving them real depth, and the way it is handled in their relationship.
    Also, the narrator did an amazing job, particularly while impersonating an opinionated weasel.

    it was not et bad audiobook but I can't find myself to like the end the resolution of this whole book. Character were good but even if the way they turn around each other at the start is a little silly. Still there are such a hornyness that was not for me
