The jungle is deep, dark and death lurks within….

The Marine Raiders are licking their wounds after the successful battle at Tasimboko. But that battle was only the preview of the main event to come…and now the clock is ticking down to destruction!

As General Vandegrift and the Marine Raiders pour over the documents left behind by General Kiyotake Kawaguchi, they must determine exactly where the seasoned Japanese General and his 5,000 men will attack. Will it be from the Matanikau? Alligator Creek? Or an obscure spine of coral south of Henderson perfectly aligned for a major push by an army ready to burst from the rainforest with blazing rifles and cries of Banzai on their lips.

With command divided on this point, Major Al Decker and his squad must once again venture into the dangerous jungles of Guadalcanal. It’s up to them to find Kawaguchi and discover where his main force will attack. But of course… the Japanese aren’t going to make it easy for them. With multiple units splitting off to stage distraction attacks, to search for a place to observe the Americans and with prisoners and treacherous islanders providing the Japanese with intelligence, every step Decker and his men take could potentially be their last.

The fuse is lit and the bloody battle for Henderson Field is coming! Can Decker report Kawaguchi’s position in time? Can he avoid Japanese death squads sent out to kill him?
