“Long, long ago in Kyoto, the people of the city were terrified by accounts of a dreadful ogre, who, it was said, haunted the Gate of Rashomon at twilight and seized whoever passed by…”
Watanabe and his samurai companions take great pride in defeating any foe - human or otherwise. When they hear an ogre is terrifying the people of Rashomon, Watanabe can't believe it. A challenge is made to Watanabe to spend the night at the Gate of Rashomon and see for himself if the ogre exists - a challenge he readily accepts. But will Watanabe live to regret this challenge?
For over a thousand years this classic Japanese tale of honor and bravery has been passed down from generation to generation. Nation9 is excited to bring this timeless story to a new generation of readers.
