This audiobook contains the basic steps of new-age Christian meditation, also known as esoteric Christian meditation, which is based on the ancient practice of “inner silence”, originally imparted by Jesus to his closest disciples and purposely hidden from the masses.
Based on four decades of comparative religion research and meditation practice, these lessons and exercises reveal the keys of the secret teachings of Jesus, decoded from the four canonical gospels as well as the Old Testament. Also included are a series of complementary writings by notable Christian mystics of all times: from Meister Eckhart, St. John of the Cross, St. Teresa of Avila, and St. Francis of Assisi, to more “holistic” spiritual teachers like Eckhart Tolle, Jiddu Krishnamurti, and Allan Watts, among others.
In short words, the practice imparted in this audiobook is based on attaining a state of “[I]nner silence” or “[I]nner stillness”, as stated by the German mystic and Dominican monk Meister Eckhart (1260-1327) who sustained that “[T]here is a huge silence inside each of us that beckons us into itself, and the recovery of our own silence can begin to teach us the language of Heaven”.
