    So informative.

    Have been waiting for this book to become available after hearing Dr. Johnson on The Drive with Peter Attia. This has been an eye opener for me and so appreciative of his research and sharing of knowledge. Maybe I can at last keep off these stubborn pounds of fat. Already lost 2 pounds before end of book. Good start.

    Solid Book

    I really enjoyed this book and found it extremely revealing. I felt it had a lot of information I wasn't exposed to in the past. I am overly impressed with the way Dr Johnson is able to formulate questions and then find/shape/create studies that would answer those questions. That seems like an almost impossible task. Then, being able to take that research and put it into a book like this, it's just remarkable. I am very well read in the very low carb community. Although there were a few parts that I disagreed with, I felt that his point of view was very well articulated and not argumentative. I found his humble approach to science and the betterment of mankind very refreshing. I would recommend this book to anyone! I am still blown away by the addiction components in fructose that are discussed in this book and exposed by the science... I still can't stop thinking about it.

    Interesting review of emerging science

    an interesting review of emerging science in human metabolism, energy physiology, and diet. In some cases there seems to be extrapolation from observations in animals that goes further than it should, but in general it is well sourced.

    Unfortunately, the reading is done in a slow and exaggerated sing-songy voice as if reading a children's story for toddlers. I found increasing the speed to 1.2x was helpful.

    Excellent summary of the science about weight loss

    One of the better summary of the science about weight loss. Superbly written. And covers all the aspects. With insights on how to affect your metabolic rate
