Description

From New York Times best-selling author Jay Crownover comes the fourth book in the Marked Men series.

Saint Ford has worked hard to achieve her childhood dream of becoming a nurse. Focused on her work and devoted to her patients, there’s no room for love. She doesn’t need a guy making waves in her calm, serene life - especially when he’s the unforgettable hottie who nearly destroyed her in high school. Dark, brooding Nash Donovan might not remember her or the terrible pain he caused. But he turned her world upside down…and now he’s trying to do it again.

Saint has no idea that Nash isn’t the cocky player he once was. Uncovering a devastating family secret has rocked his world, and now he’s struggling to figure out his future. He can’t be distracted by the pretty nurse he seems to meet everywhere. Still, he can’t ignore the sparks that fly between them - or how she seems so desperate to get away from him. But the funny, sweet, and drop-dead gorgeous Saint is far too amazing to give up on - especially since she’s the only thing in his life that seems to make sense.

When Nash discovers the truth about their past, he realizes he may have lost her heart before he could even fight for it. Now, Saint has to decide: Is Nash worth risking herself for all over again?

Loved Nash, Saint left a lot to be desired

What did you love best about Nash?

Definitely the hero. Nash was a total sweetheart, it was great to watch (or hear) him overcome his issues with his family and come to a place where he could accept himself and be proud of who he was. Pacing kinda dragged in some parts, but not to the point of being unreadable (unlistenable).

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

Both narrators were just alright to me. It might be my imagination, but Paula Costello sounds like Kristen Stewart to me, so I kept seeing her deadpan face. I think the fact that I disliked Saint as a character might have made it worse. Tad was great as Nash, but his other voices didn't really go over all that well for me (maybe Asa's, if I'm being generous).

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yep, I've been waiting months for it, so I powered straight through it.

Any additional comments?

Looking forward to the next two books in the series, even though this heroine was my least favorite, the story overall was enjoyable.

I loved Nash!!

This is the only other book in the series so far that can contend with "Rule" for the spot as favorite. Nash was a good guy. He was calm and not as impulsive as the others. Each of them are different which I love. Saint drove me crazy at times with her hang ups but the story was great. I thought the narrator for saint was a bit monotone but it wasn't too bad. Hearing about Rule and Shaw's wedding was such a nice bonus.

OMG WOW

This book is an erotic, romance with drama and possible tear jerk.

We met Nash in each book before, we met Saint as the nurse that helped the Marked Men and Nash's uncle Phil.

Nash works with all the Marked Men, he lives his life by his rules and if the tattoos and piercings don't tell you his story, this will. He grew up with a mother that did not appreciate him for who he was. He has a step father trying to put him into a mold that did not exists. He has a uncle that looks way to much like him that raised him. When he sees the red head with starking grey eyes looking at him like he kicked her puppy, he is lost in her. Soon he finds himself in love with a woman from his past and the sins of the past are going to tear his world apart. Who knew that the things you say at a kid can change another person life.

Saint has known Nash since she was a child. He hung out with the captain of the football team and the popular crowd. As she sat on the sidelines feeding her high school crush with Nash, he finally gives her and in and if she had none that one night with him was not going to be what she dreamed of, it was going to shatter her views of love. If what her childhood crush did not crush her, it was her father who left them for a younger woman. Her sister is living the dream of love and happiness, Saint doesn't believe anymore. When she is working one night as a nurse in the ER her past collide with her future and it will change her views again. Nash will show her what love really is, but will she be strong enough to hold on to love and left go of past mistakes? When a Nash needs her the most though, and time is fading fast when the one person that Nash considered a father is on his death bed, Saint's time is running out.

Gotta love this series, even at the end you not do you only get a playlist, but you a glimpse into the next Marked Men. Yes I cried in this one too.

Saint tried my patience

I love the series, and while I adored Nash and his story, I didn't enjoy Saint's. She needed some serious therapy, and even in the end, I honestly wouldn't think their story turned out happily ever after in the end. At least not until she seriously got her shit together for a good long while.

Her issues and inability to get past them nearly ruined the book for me, and honestly I only held out because of Nash's family story and I was expecting a teaser into Rowdy's story.

The narration was awesome on both the male & female parts! :)

Great!

Nash and Rules stories are my favorite so fare. Saint could use a little work, a little to girly. The Narrators made the story come alive...

Rocked my world

Once again, amazing book. So different than the others, but ties in so perfectly. Amazingly balanced with just the right amount of emotion, love, angst, action... It's just everything.

I've plowed through these books almost 2 a day because I'm so obsessed. The performance is perfection and I still have no idea how This series was paired with such amazing narrators, not one has been off.

Worth the credit hands down.
