Perhaps his best work

Jon Kabat Zinn returns with another look at mindfulness. This outpouring contains all his best anecdotes, perspectives, and musings on meditation, gathered from his journey of however many years teaching and practicing. Along the way we're treated to several guided sessions that remind us that each breath, each moment is a new beginning.

First stop in learning mindfulness

Very well done...relaxing way to learn the basics. Not fuzzy or unclear. Want to try mindfulness? No better teacher or start.

Get this one first

Having completed several mindfulness audio books already I highly recommend this one be the first one to put on your list. This book establishes a solid foundation in a very practical manner. Well blended and presented it kept me engaged.

Insightful Mindfulness Teaching

I enjoyed this audiobook. It confirmed things that I had already learned as well as elaborated on several of them. One example is that one must stay in the moment. Let go of your thoughts to magnify your presence in the moment. Meditation practice helps you to have 100% of yourself present when making critically important decisions. At every moment in your life you're more present for it.

The cumulative work of his collection to date.

I had read many other reviews about how this one is the best to start with when it comes to Kabaat-Zin's work, and i can agree. I had read many of the rest of his works and listened to many special casts he has done on audible and this was the glue and tie in to many of his other works and answered alot of my questions about the subject. This is a straight forward work that is easy to listen to regardless of your knowledge on the matter. Well worth it!

Very Enjoyable!

Loved the teaching in this book. The authors way of presenting information is very easy to understand. These concepts are simple, but this journey is not easy in the slightest. This was a sigh of relief in what can be a very hard journey = Mindlessness to Mindfulness. Thank you!

Profound wisdom.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

The tools that Jon provides are very secular and have enormous potential to eradicate that sense of dissatisfaction, stress and worry in our day-to-day lives.

What other book might you compare Mindfulness Meditation to and why?

His book Wherever You Go, There You Are. I also see some similarities in Joseph Goldstein's work. This audiobook however is a much more casual conversation.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This audiobook always brings me back to centre, let's me see where I am and provides great insight into the human condition and how we can embrace it for the better.

Everyone should listen to this audiobook

This audiobook from Jon Kabat-Zinn really has touched and inspired me. It will guide me in mindfulness practice in the future and has led to great personal insights. It really is of great value to me and to everyone who is willing to change oneself for the better and who wants to fully live life with every aspect that there is. Listen to it, you won't regret it! Jon Kabat-Zinn is an amazing character, and there is a lot to learn from him.
