Making of an Addict takes you through the childhood and early adult life of social media influencer James Shinny Davenport, delving deep into the immense struggles he faced as a result of addiction to drugs, food, drink, and sex.
In a complete "tell all" story, the Manchester man talks about the hurt he caused to not only himself but those closest to him too, before finally finding happiness in recovery, after several failed attempts.
The former Leeds Rhinos player, professional boxer and frontman of the band Hanky Park, hopes this book can save the lives of those who are going through the same thing, and will offer some much-needed advice to people suffering in silence.
Recovery is about recognising the traits in yourself and using them for good. There is no cure for addiction, only prevention.
If he can do it, you can too.
