"Mahapatana" is a work by author Santoshkumar Mehendale. The story delves into the turmoil and psychological state of Suyodhana (Duryodhana) towards the end of his life. Though the defeated Pandavas had everything returned to them, the question arises whether their vows and oaths were also nullified. Did they retrieve their pledges to break my thigh or to kill Dushasana? Even if they regained their wealth, would they refrain from seeking vengeance? And for me to survive, don't I need to gird my loins? The novel explores these inner conflicts and the relentless quest for vengeance, depicting Suyodhana's mental struggle as he faces the consequences of his actions.
