Great book about Virgin and the Branson

This was a fun book to listen to. As an entrepreneur dealing with the constants ups and downs of business - it is temping just to say "screw it" and through in the towel. The listener learns about the ups and downs of Virgin, how it got started and its constant struggle with cash flow. You hear about Virgin's success and its failures. In its early years Virgin often took 2 steps forward and then one step back to grow. I can relate.

Branson also does a great job at revealing enough about his life and character to make the whole book work.

Love the book and would recommend it to any entrepreneur trying to grow a business.

Humorous, Educating and Enjoyable

I will keep this short and brief.

Losing My Virginity is a great book and is a good way to be entertained for a couple hours. Branson is quite ambitious and this book shows how he lived his life the way he wanted to and one of these outcomes was an incredible company. His stories are both educating and humorous. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking to learn the type of life Richard Branson lived.

So many fascinating tales

Great to hear it in Richard’s own voice. There are so many great adventures in this one book that only covers part of his life (from the start of Student mag to taking on BA).

The key message is that he makes decisions fast and usually based on whether he thinks it will be fun.

I wanted to read His story in the hope of learning some business tactics. Well, I was not disappointed. They were not what I expected but I certainly did learn some lessons. plus, is British accent made the listening a lot more fun.

A Good Narrative of Richard Branson's Life So Far

An informative account of Richard Branson's life; some aspects of which I was very surprise to learn.

Richard Branson read it clearly and engagingly.

However, the book lacked a deeper insight into the inner mind, motivation and aspiration of Richard Branson. Perhaps the unlocking of one's inner motivation may need a scholarly approach done by someone else.

Not the best biography but still interesting

He has a crazy exciting life so naturally the story was enjoyable. He was quite open about his private life including his affairs and public feud with British Airways. Branson himself narrated the book quite okay, but technicality-wise was not that perfect because you can obviously hear when one recording session was over and the new recording session started: different volume and Branson talk in different note key. Not a big deal, though. Still recommended.

Richard at his best

Worth listening to

There are some valuable businesses lessons, not much of a good story telling though. Recomended as a complement for those looking into Richard Branson business achievements.

Really authentic and poignant.

Bei 50% of the book I knew already that I'm going to buy others too. It's really inspiring and also shows different ways of thinking more out of the box. This is kind of person which thoughts, way of life and views you can admire.
Moreover I wish that the book wouldn't end.
But what the heck there are other books from Richard available.
