Who was your favorite character and why?

The tension at the beginning, with Naomi's family and the mysterious events happening around her really draw you in. It's a unique and well told story.

What does Emma Lysy bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She captured a range of emotions that added a lot of depth.

MUST READ!!

At first I wasn't sure if I was going to like this fantasy romance type book. It took me a couple chapters to warm up to it, but all I can say now is... Give me more! Naomi is a young girl who many can identify with, living in an abused neglected situation with her parents. She finds love fantastically unexpected. If you like romance, and you like a good book with amazing character, do yourself a favor and buy this book!! I can't wait to listen to more by this author!! I also have to give props to the narrator for keeping me in the moment and full of emotion just by the different voices and the way she makes it so easy to distinguish from one character to the next!

Loth did an excellent job keeping me interested

Nine times out of ten I would have rated this book a 2-star or lower. This is almost never my type of book. The teen angst, sudden magic ability, love triangle, surprise villain... all these thing usually add up to a big disappointment for me. But Loth did an excellent job keeping me interested despite all the reasons I could have had to hate it.

I think at least part of my enrapture with the book came from listening to Emma Lysy narrate the story. It never felt like someone was reading me a story; it felt like I was watching a movie. She did an excellent job portraying each character and their emotions.

What did you love best about Kissed?

The dynamics of the two parties trying to keep eachother in check despite one or the other going rogue.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The brothers earn a tie spot. They really made for good sibling and love triangle dynamics.

Which character – as performed by Emma Lysy – was your favorite?

Dwayne...I hated this guy with a passion! I wanted to punch him in his hillbilly face. He was voiced perfectly...drawling and dumb as rocks. It was awesome!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Definitely too heavvy for one sitting, but there were days I put off a few tasks to keep listening.

Amazing first book!

I have not read this series and will be honest that the time that I tried to read it, I couldn't get past the first few chapters. However, listening to it was a completely different experience. I thoroughly enjoyed this audio book. The narrator did a great job of bringing the story to life in a way that made it easy to get hooked on it and want more. I am definitely going to download the next in the series because I am excited to know what happens next.

The twists and turns in this book will keep you glued to your book the whole way through! I loved this book and can’t wait for more with these characters.

Forgot how great it is

This is one of the first books by Kim I had experienced and I forgot how great of a story it is. Naomi is living with an abusive father and silent mother while being forced to participate in a cult. She hates how her life is but she knows she must be obedient and silent or she will get punished. One night she gets kissed in her sleep and she is powerless to wake up and see how it is. Things start to change for her when she meets Ruth and Kai but also when she is told she must marry. Through out this whole book we see Naomi changing and I love seeing her grow as a character.

I liked this book. it twisted a bit, pulled you in the emotions, I like how she brought a different idea with the roses to emotion connection

Good book

At first I did not like the narrator but after a few minutes I began to enjoy listening to her. She read the story well. I think perhaps it was that I was expecting a different voice.

I enjoyed the storyline and look forward to the other books in the series.
