I find it really unfortunate that I didn't realize earlier that this book is part of a series. This isn't explicitly mentioned, which is a real shame. I know I won’t feel like reading the previous one since I feel slightly spoiled.
However, this doesn't affect the story between our two characters here.
I found the narrator’s voice beautiful. At no point does she pull us out of the 'moment,' which is quite rare.
This might also be explained by the fact the narrators don’t feel obliged to overact the voice of the protagonist of the opposite sex. It's really refreshing.
Anyway, nice story, pretty voices. I don't regret the hours spent here.
