    Description

A new threat arrives from the rim of the galaxy. From the colorless depths of space, unknown invaders strike worlds across the Frontier Zone.

Rigel is a thousand lightyears farther from the Core Worlds than Earth, so they suffer the first attacks. The mood at Central is jubilant. Our greatest rival is falling—now is the time to strike while they’re weak!

Legion Varus is deployed to Jungle World, a vital planet deep in Rigellian territory. Our foes, fighting on two fronts, are driven back with ease. But one man questions the wisdom of this move. Should Earth expand with greed, aiding new monsters from the Galactic Rim? That lone voice of reason comes from James McGill.

Find out what happens next in Jungle World, the thrilling 19th book of the Undying Mercenaries series. With millions of copies sold, USA Today bestselling author B. V. Larson is the king of modern military science fiction.

    Same as before, no growth

The writer has a formula for this series and by god he sticks to it.

Magill wakes up in Georgia, Magill hears / sees someone, that someone is this person, storyline everyone is interested in, called to headquarters, blamed for something / arrested. Out of jail free card / break out, war, Graves suspicious / upset about equipment “ignore that Magill knows Graves is a revolutionary the whole book”, sex Torav, side-booty interest, angry torav, sex torav, war, Magill dumb, Magill saves, war done, home, back to storyline everyone wants to know about, go see brain boobs.

Magill has saved the world multiple times. Everyone will perm him to save their career in spite of that. Magill is so Dick driven he makes the same mistakes every book within a few chapters each book. There is a lack of humanity in this series that is disturbing. Wonder if they’ve lost it due to so many revivals.

    Will listen to next book.

    Weak work from Atelier Larson

Weakest of the 18 books, certainly - least clever, most holes in the plot, most gross and predictable of the bunch. BV needs to supervise his writers better - or the series will die, soon. I will be back for his next one, but maybe it’s time to stop.

    Another great story.

These books never let me down. This is another great installment in the undying mercenary series. It continually progresses and is always entertaining. Even the ending on this one was a bit of a surprise. Only downside is now I have to wait for the next one. I hope it’s quick.

19 books in and can't wait for the next one

Most of the first 19 were great and worst of them were still very good. This book keeps up the string. Can't wait for book 20.

    I really enjoyed this one

The plot moved along nicely. The jokes are great. Keep them coming. Same formula but it's what makes undying mercenaries great.

    Classic UM

This series is just so fun! Ended on one of the better cliffhangers of the series, too!

    Same Story different number

If you have never listened to any books in this series buy this book. If you have listened to books in this series before save your credits. The only things that seem to change are the names of the worlds. Same characters, same protagonists, same romances.

Someone check on Mr Larson, he ain’t all there.

I’ve been a big fan of BV over the years. Listened to a dozen at least. But the past few books are just sad. They’re perfect for doing yard work or construction jobs around the house. You can walk away for several minutes and not miss a thing. Knowing in the next chapter he’ll just end up repeating everything he said before. He introduces a character and explains every detail about their personality, then a chapter later he’s describing in excruciating length why they act the way they do. He already explained that less than an hour ago. If you cut out all of the redundant unnecessary explanations of things we already know the books would be half or a third their final length. The main character will tell us what he’s going to do then when he finally gets around to doing it he acts like he just came up with the idea or it wasn’t even his idea. It’s like spending the afternoon with a dementia patient. You listen to the same stories over and over again and pretend like you’ve never heard them before so as not to hurt their feelings. Someone please let B.V. know it’s time to retire. Or at least get someone to edit the repetitive stuff out.

    Old James Miguel

This was an awesome addition to the story. I cannot wait for the next book to come out.
