Instead, as performed with an eagerness and cheer perfectly fitting the hero, it is the oversized, bumbling, stammering setter "Red", who helps him get to the bottom of who stole his blanket and squeak-toy in this engaging chapter book for young listeners, the first in a series featuring the dog detective who can’t help but charm through his "Jack’s facts" and "nose maps".
