The year is 5800, and humanity faces a crisis. Stars across the universe have faded, leaving Earth’s remaining societies desperate for energy as the Long Dark sets in. When a faint signal reaches Earth from the distant planet Ion Prime, the last known source of stable energy, Susan Altair is chosen to investigate.
