After the harrowing adventures of their previous trip into the Human Era ruins, Liam and the girls are ready for a bit of a break. The trip underground taught them where they were strong, and where they needed to improve. And one area that they have decided on is that they need to expand their little adventuring party.

Opening up the group to others from Kassandra and Rieka’s class isn’t something to be done lightly, though. The end of the semester is coming quickly and the grading of the summoning project with it. Just how they are going to be judged will need to be taken into account, as well as integrating the new party members as well.

On the Earth front, Liam also has to figure out the very important process of how to keep a roof over his head since he fulfilled a dream shared by many: quitting his shitty, dead-end job.

Compared to battling shadowy horrors inside an ancient research-facility-become-tomb, earning a living shouldn’t be that hard, right?
