Couldn’t get through 1 min of this guys voice

I’m sure this book is great but the audibook is deplorable. The guy who is reading should never be commissioned to speak in public. His awkward, trembly voice hurts my ears.

eh would not listen to again

narration along with writing style is kind of weird. almost like a programed robot is talking to you. I think the writing is kind of forced, and not a natural writer. that mixed with someone who didn't write the book reading it makes it kind of odd and boring to listen to. I also think it had a lot of filler that comes off as common sense ideas. However if you're truly terrible at communicating I believe the book could give you some valuable information.

A must read (or listen)

I often keep quiet rather than engage in conversation. Social anxiety can really handicap a person, even when you’re around those you know. This book offers insight, tips and tricks to get you going and covers things like active listening and open ended questions to keep conversation flowing. I’ve started using some the tips and while I still struggle, conversation is just a little bit easier.

Good book, I would recommend for anyone that is struggles with social skills and awkwardness.

worst book on Audible

Writing is below average at best. Probably acceptable as a main text for a high school class meant to bore and destroy the students. Narration is pretty awful and whoever decided that this is an appropriate format for this book was on a disgusting money grab.

Books about improving social skills are going to contain basic tips because building rapport isn't that complex. It just requires some planning and work. When someone asks "how was your weekend?", don't respond with "I watched Netflix all weekend." Have something more interesting to talk about, like the blockbuster movie you watched and how it compared to other movies in the same genre. Learn to tell stories and jokes. Don't expect other people to start conversations and entertain you with their latest activities and adventures.
