For years, we have been taught that fat is bad for us. So many people have become scared of fat that this false message pervades every facet of our lives, and people are now convinced that as long as you are following a diet low in fat and rich in whole grains, you are healthy, and that the key to a healthy weight is eating less and exercising more.
This is wrong. Yet despite this advice, we have seen rises in heart disease and diabetes. Steve Strong shows that the problem lies in refined carbohydrates, like white flour, easily digested starches, and sugars, and that the key to good health is the kind of calories we take in, not the number.

Way too basic
As a nutritionist, I wanted to know more about the ketogenic diet so I could better help my clients. Truthfully there was only about one chapter of useful information in this book. It also had inaccurate science and apart from weight loss, did not talk about other reasons why someone may want to start a ketogenic diet. The majority of the book was the author just talking about how much weight you'll loose if you start this diet. The bullet proof diet was a much more in-depth look at ketogenic and intermittent fasting.
