Love this sweet and comforting book.

I don't know how anyone could not love this sweet and comforting book. I have it on audio (unabridged) and listen by the author whose Danish accent complements the material. Very soothing, especially on a gray winter day. It makes me want to make a cup of mango-ginger tea and snuggle with the cat and a journal. Lots of tips in the book not only helpful but inspiring as well. My apartment has more candles, flowers, and pillows than it did last month. Enjoy!

I love this book.

I love this book. I have gifted it for my birthday. It's an easy, short listen. It has helped me change so much around my home; guiding me into decluttering, lighting candles, and paying attention to what I am doing. I enjoy the hygge design trends all over the internet, but I love the heart of hygge; comfort for the soul. It's a simple book, but it may help you set your priorities right.

Hard to listen to

This book sounded like someone reading random blog posts loosely related to the subject of the books. It was very disjointed as it bounced from topic to topic often repeating things from earlier. Some topics had no relevance to the subject of the books.

Disorganized and Redundant

For books (which do have some good ideas) designed to help people organize and simplify their lives, they are disorganized and redundant, with numerous random comments. The performance of the first volume and of the last volume was fine, but the second narrator, on feng shui, seemed not to be a professional narrator.

Hyyge could be the secret to great relationships! There are some recipes inside for those who enjoy kitchenhygge. The idea of sharing a comfort zone with others is much needed in an increasingly uncomfortable world.

Understandable book.

So this Danish concept of cozy - recognizing the warmth and comfort in simple things and activities - totally resonates with me. I have, in my brief acquaintance with the idea, have actually recognized the hygienist surrounds me, just waiting to be cultivated. No complex systems. No check sheets. Just a cup of tea, some woolen socks, and the acknowledgment of the moment.

This is the perfect guide.

My new favorite coffee table book. It was a quick listen and I was happily curled up with a cup of coffee soaking in all the information. Even listen to the book was hyggelig, and if you want hygge in your life, this is the perfect guide.

Purchased as a component of a Christmas package...with a sheepskin rug, candle, and cozy socks. It was perfect! Quick listen! The book is cute and short and I couldn't put it down (confession - I listen to the entire thing before mailing it!!!). It's true what they say - the Danes really are the happiest people on earth! :)

Loved this book!

Loved this! I did the audible version that is narrated by the author, he has a lovely voice, and it's great to hear the correct pronunciation of the terms used in the book. Learning to incorporate hygge in your life starts with this book! We will be purchasing his other books in the future.

I really enjoyed listening to this book. It’s a quick and easy listen that has some great insights on how to enjoy the simpler things in life. The hardcover book itself is a nice size, easy to take while traveling, and the texture of the cover is nice. The book has a Matt finish that feels soft.
