Description

Augie

I don't need anyone's protection. I'm fine. But to appease my sister after a home invasion, I agree to take self-defense lessons. They just so happen to be with a big, muscled former navy SEAL who may or may not be everything I've always daydreamed about but never thought I could have.

And he's dead set on looking out for me even when things in my life suddenly get complicated. Between the increasing threats against me and pressure from my wealthy family to be someone I'm not, I'm having a hard time keeping it together. As I begin to fall apart, I lose faith I'll ever meet anyone who'll want a mess like me - much less meet someone strong and capable like Saint Wilde.

The more time I spend with him, however, the more I realize he's not as put together as he seems. And I begin to wonder...while Saint's busy looking after everyone else, who's looking after him?

Saint

After my big, fat mouth gets me in trouble with a high-profile client, my boss takes away the bodyguard gig and sends me back to my hometown to give one of society's elites a few lessons at a local gym. Babysitting an antiques nerd is hardly my idea of a good time, but as soon the attractive, petite man walks into the workout center, I nearly trip over my own feet.

He's effing adorable.

And absolutely scared to death.

He won't tell me what's spooked him, but I won't rest until I find a way to take the fear out of his gorgeous eyes. Even if defending Augie means I have to stop protecting my own heart.

His Saint is the fifth book in the Forever Wilde series but can be listened to out of order. Beware, it includes 90,000 words of delicious man parts touching, grandfathers meddling, sassy siblings, cats mrrp-ing...and one Stevie.

Lennox + Pauley = The Gold Standard

I could listen to Michael Pauley read the “instruction manual for a lawn mower” and be perfectly happy about it. Add his narration to a Lucy Lennox title and in my opinion you have the gold standard in MM romance audiobooks. Pauley flawlessly brings the nuances of Lennox’s characters to life. In His Saint, Lennox has made Augie wonderfully neurotic and Pauley narrates the antique nerd’s personality quirks without making them seem overdone or overplayed. Saint, by contrast is voiced as the more “masculine” of the pair. While Pauley plays these in a lower register and with the trademark twang I have come to associate with the Wildes, he also carefully navigates the layers of Saint’s personality and uses his knowledge of Lennox’s style to keep the characters balanced throughout. Pauley also does an expert job of working in side characters without making any character feel flat or unrealistic.

really Lucy

there are several things wrong with this book. I am normally a huge fan of Lucy and Michael but this book fell flat for me. if you listen to one Michael narration you've listen to them all.
First, who was that supposed to be on the cover, beefy Saint or skinny Auggie? I know sex sells but at least make the person on the cover look like one of the people in the book. When I think of Saint and the description she's given of him in all the books he's been in this image doesn't come to mind. and you can argue that everybody's images different but the guy on the cover ant' it.
my next issue, it was boring!
There were times where I felt like I was reading the exact same line over again in the book. it's almost like she just reused phrases over and over again.
and lastly if you read these books for hot sex scenes you're not going to get that here . you have to go through half of the book before you get to anything remotely resembling a sex scene.
the only saving grace it's there's a brief part about how she's going to connect this series to the maid Mirren series.
ugh, I feel so invested in the series that I have to see it all the way through the end I just hope the next one is better.

Good story

Liked how the story flowed, the narration was great. The twists and turns kept me guessing. The steamy love scenes didn't hurt either.

Really like this autho.

Lucy and Michael together are always perfection!

His Saint is the fifth book in the Forever Wilde series by the talented Lucy Lennox. It can be read out of order, I listened to the audio and haven't read the other books in the series. Lucy and Michael Pauley are such a great combo! Saint takes a new job as a bodyguard and it turns out Augie, the man he's watching, is sexy as sin and he can't think straight around him. Augie is in danger and Saint has vowed to protect him with his own life. As they get to know each other better, the sparks fly. Their relationship grows and it's sweet, sexy and intense. I enjoyed watching them fall in love and it just made me want to go back and read the whole series!

sweet, bodyguard

Enjoyed this book, as I always do with this series. This story didn't really have any funny moments like Aunt Tilly brings, but it was still good. It is the story of a bodyguard/former seal and a sweet, but timid and broken antiques dealer. Saint helps Auggie become stronger while still protecting him.

Michael's voice mixed with Lucy's story is gold

I didn't want it to end. His Saint is the all the laughter and sweetness I have come to expect and love. Michael's voice truly brings it to stunning life. Loved it.

Come on. What's there to say? It's fantastic.

I will apparently never not absolutely adore the combination of Lucy Lennox and Michael Pauley.

Augie is adorable, Saint is a lovable lug, and once again, Stevie is my spirit animal!

Great as usual

Lucy Lennox does a great job as usual. I love her stories. Saint and Auggie are a cute couple and I love the suspense bit in the story line.
Michael Paulo does a great job narrating.
Ok, side note. I’m totally squeeing over the hints of a crossover back into Marian country. I highly suggest getting caught up in both these series.

Saint Wilde Auggie

Like all of the Forever Wilde novels His Saint was a great book. I did feel like the it was rushed at times. Especially the ending. The book could have been a good 150 pages longer and it would have been easy to fill in with more details. More about Auggie’s family and “the bad guys”. More about Saints security firm and the trouble he should have found himself in. And the ending could have had more about Saint and Auggie’s future...the happily ever after. But because I love the Wilde family characters and Lucy’s writings I gave it 5 stars all the way. I just hope there is more to come. We still have to hear about King and Cal.

Story Was just ok.

I have read this entire series so far, and have enjoyed it. But this story to me was just ok. (SPOILER ALERT) First of all, it became so irritating to me how weak, and weak minded Augie was. He couldn't speak right or handle any situation, along with being to fickle, and ran to hot a cold with Saint. + to much going back to the same old issue's. Saint really wasn't any better. He should have put his foot down a little more and toll Augie either we are doing this or not. Not be so passive and except that treatment from him. Out of this series, my favorite story is still FELIX AND THE PRINCE.👍 The narrator did a great job! I recommend this story/book only if you're already invested In the series. Like me.🙁
