Description
I Hunt Killers introduced the world to Jasper (Jazz) Dent, the son of the world's most infamous serial killer. When a desperate New York City detective comes knocking on Jazz's door asking for help with a new case, Jazz can't say no. The Hat-Dog Killer has the Big Apple - and its police force running scared with no leads. So Jazz and his girlfriend, Connie, hop on a plane to the big city and get swept up in a killer's murderous game. Meanwhile, Jazz's dad, Billy, is watching... and waiting.

The Hat Dog killer.... You're kidding me right?
Someone has got to be putting me on with these reviews. I believe most of the reviews were from the written version. My review is from the audible version. I am not giving anything away as I tell you that the teen age dexterish main character in this book is trying to help capture the Hat Dog killer... Someone carving hats and dogs into people he kills... If that sounds interesting to you - Carry on. It seems - Like a childish imagination - As the character sounds childish when you listen... Let's go backwards to the beginning of this book where the character is taking credit in the previous book for catching a killer called the impressionist... I think I listened to the first book. My library says I did - Yet it's completely different from the new revelation that he caught the killer - When it was his girlfriend and friend that busted through the door with a shot gun and rescued him. Ergo - It wasn't him who caught the killer. He didn't find him with special deductions powers. The guy came to him and told on himself... I understand that you have to give a background to the first book - But Yikes - This book repeats a ton of stuff from the first. If I have an idea for a new type of air plane and it sounds good - I might get some people that want to know more. But if that plane is incapable of flying - No one is going to invest. This book has a great idea - But the plot and characters don't fly. This book is very juvenile and it makes sense now after reading about Mr Lyga, and that he is a young adult writer.

LEt's play a game
If you could sum up Game in three words, what would they be?
good, slow, unbelievable
Would you recommend Game to your friends? Why or why not?
I probably wouldn't. It's a little "childish" the only way I can think to describe it is if it wasn't quite so morbid at times, it may be more fitting for a 16 year old to read
What does Charlie Thurston bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I really did like his reading voice. I think he's good playing other characters and also his inner thought voice is good
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
sorry to say it wasn't. I DID like it but it took me forever to finish & I kept finding myself distracted
Any additional comments?
this was good and I feel like I will probably read the next one. I just found myself not listening or getting distracted easily so i'm not sure I loved it

Deliciously Creepy
The suspense is definitely ramped up in this one!! Great series. I still have no idea whether Jazz will be a serial killer or be redeemed. Since I am not familiar with this author until this series, I have no idea if he values the lives of his main characters or not. Right now it doesn't look good for anyone. We shall see. This ending is a cliffhanger. Reader beware. I will admit that if everyone dies and Jazz gives in to his upbringing, my next review will be decidedly lower!!

FINALLY!!!
Where does Game rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Definitely in the top. Tough to answer though because that means you are going up against the classics as well.
What did you like best about this story?
Lyga's descriptions and internal dialogue on the characters. They are so real. Jazz's inner struggle against...who he is?
Have you listened to any of Charlie Thurston’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Again, wrote this in the other reviews. This guy is a master at his craft. He is currently tied with the best narrator I have ever heard.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Many reactions. Call me a little...sick?...but I do love Billy. He is a wolf in sheep's clothing. Howie is hilarious. Connie was a little too stereotypical if you ask me.

Stellar!
This series is incredible and I cannot wait for the next book. The narrator does a great job which just ups the creep factor.
Way to leave us hanging Barry. Thanks. Thanks a lot.

A Great Sequel to I Hunt Killers
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
This book is a bit graphic for the YA set, but as an adult who reads and reviews quite a few YA books and loves thrillers, this was a great listen. The book is full of gruesome crimes and depraved killers, but it also features the strength of friendship. There's a lot going on in this sequel- the story expanding from a small town boy dealing with his serial killer father's legacy, to New York City and the possibility that Jasper's dad is on the hunt again. While Jasper helps the cops in NYC, Howie and Connie are dealing with a mystery a little closer at home. The end of the book leaves several cliffhangers that will have you desperate for the next book!
What was one of the most memorable moments of Game?
The ending had me on the edge of my seat! The stakes have gotten so much higher in this third book, and the fate of the main characters had my pulse racing!
What about Charlie Thurston’s performance did you like?
Thurston stepped up his performance for this second book, and while I thought he did an okay job in I Hunt Killers, I much preferred his narration in Game. I'm including him in my "favorite narrators" list now. ;)
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
"Losing this game could be deadly"
