Great story

This is the fourth story in the Pine Mountain series but all books are stand alone. This is Teagan and Adrian's story. Adrian meets Teagan literally by accident. Teagan is a paramedic who reports to a call of a motorcycle vs minivan. Adrian's arm gets hurt in the accident which is a problem because he is the sous chef at La Dolce Vita. He is put on leave of absence and thinks he is going to go crazy after just a couple of hours. Teagan also helps at the Double Shot. The bar and grill that her dad owns. When her dad has a serious health issue she takes over full time at the Double Shot. When her cooks walks out that is when Adrian walks in and the fun begins. Teagan finds out that her dad borrowed money from a sleazy loan shark who now wants his money or will start using the Double Shot to launder his money. The staff at the Double Shot pull together to put on a street fair to raise the money to pay the loan shark off. While working day in and day out, Teagan and Adrian can't deny the feelings they have for one another. Will they raise enough to save the Double Shot? Will they be able to keep Adrian out of trouble with his parole officer?

This was such a good story and I really enjoyed it and highly recommend. The narrator did a fantastic job!

amazing love story!

Would you consider the audio edition of Fire Me Up to be better than the print version?

N/A only did Audio, but Audio was amazing and well done !

Who was your favorite character and why?

I think i fell in love with each one even one in their own way! Even a absent character.. Newna (sp) foster Mom

Have you listened to any of Chelsea Hatfield’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not but so look forward to more of her books she does with audio!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I want to say yes, but i had to stop almost at the very end so 90% ONE SITTING ,

review ** spoiler alert ** THIS being the first K.K book I have read, I was completely wow'ed by the story! The story started off as unexpected love story, my mind was thinking ok he will be taken to hospital and fall for the nurse story! so wrong I was,and what an unexpected great start.
This is a touchy feely great love story of two people Adrian and Teagan,who find each knowing they are broken in their own way,they find a way around it.
I absolutely loved the back story of Newna (sp) and though she was not a main character she played a huge role in the love story,
The story ran so smooth I did not want to finish the book,knowing it would come to an end. from the start till the end it proved to not be the average love story line,K.K gave us twist and turns , the only thing that was a given was the love that would grow,

what a great back history on Adrian, having a felony because of beating a cops, what a great way to give him a reason to be on parol and such for protecting what he believed and showing how he assumed full responsibility. and Teagan's hurtfulness she carried with her Mother (I might have wished there was more story of her Mom,)

The Audio captured all emotions wonderful, one of the best ive heard.
i highly recommend this romance book, I was given a copy of the Audio in exchange of my honest review of the book.
which I will say all i said did not do book justice, its def a book which will stay on my kindle for a re read!
