Dean Brandon has fought his inner monster since childhood. Although suppressed, even in adulthood it's still caged inside him, and the violent urges are always there like a recovering alcoholic needing just one drink. The creepy old lady warns him not to write the book he is planning. But that novel is more important to him than any of the previous ones. It's the story he needs to write to exorcise the monster once and for all.
Ignoring the old lady's foreboding threats, Dean writes Feed the Monster. Upon its completion and submittal to his editor, terrifying things begin to happen to Dean. From best-selling author to a man on the run for his life, it seems fiction has mixed with reality, and he's suddenly not sure what's real anymore.
