Just couldn’t get into it

It wasn’t great, but it wasn’t awful, it just was. I really wanted to like it, but something was missing for me. The narrator did a fantastic job and was very believable as a young girl.

Very cute story!

This was great. Definitely more suited for older teens with reference to drug and sex. I was a bit surprised at the amount of reference to sex since this is a young adult book and they are usually tamer. Still, I am an adult and I appreciated the realism that teen and young adult do have intercourse and that is normal. Still would probably not give that book to a 12-13 years old.

This book is about being honest with your feeling and being secure with yourself. I found the dialogue to be well written and the story to be just long enough. I sometimes worry when I see 4h books that it would be too short but this was just enough. It took me a while to get into the narration because the voice is so different from the type I am used to. But I got used to it. The narration itself was fine.

I just cannot!

I just can’t with these people first of all every time she starts thinking he likes that he’ll say an innocent comment and chill right away start thinking oh no if he’s just doing it because of the job because he promised to do it blah blah blah. Then her slut of a stepsister who never had her best interest at heart gets her the crappy us advice and she believes it watch pornos to learn how to give BJ’s because sex is the only way to keep a man and despite the fact this guy hasn’t even tried to be with her that way she starts thinking The slot might be right. I just think she doesn’t respond or react like a normal person was just unbelievable. It was entertaining but eventually it was the girl protest too much and she does!

Cute Short Story ...

I love shower stories in between books and the fake boyfriend is my genre. The story was cute and hit all points however I couldn’t stand the FMC. I sometimes wanted to shake her. More back story would be awesome on the MMC and fingers crossed maybe there will a part 2.
The narrator however almost ruins the story. I’ve listened to a few by her and I feel her voices make the books feel more juvenile than they are. Also hard to tell the characters voices apart.

Cute Fake Boyfriend story

This was such a cute story. I wanted to smack Sarah a few times but I still liked her and I love Gages character.

Too cute

young adult is not my usual, but fake relationships are one I like, so I thought why not. this was definitely a cuter one. I liked that the characters didn't seem older than they were, and that they came across as real, insecure teens.

this is a new to me narator, and at first I thought she had a lisp, but I think it was a production issue. she also sounded really young, almost chipmunk like, but Sarah was a young, inexperienced teen, so it worked. I just can't imagine this narator doing an older age though, but for this story, it was perfect

Wonderful YA Fake-To-Real Romance!

I absolutely loved this audiobook! The story is pretty straight-forward...Sarah is the new girl in town after her mother marries a new man. Her step-sister is part of the "in" crowd and is less than happy that she has a new family member. Sarah is harassed on her first day, so she goes to someone who looks like a tough guy, Gage, and pays for him to be her fake boyfriend to help her. Over time, they develop very real feelings for each other. The story was well-paced and the narration was perfect. Kelena Schubert did a great job in giving a voice to Sarah and to her confusing feelings as she gets to know Gage.

This is a wonderful YA romance that I will be listening to again.

Bullies Abound

The mean girl stepsister is a beast and needed a good payback. Jealousy is an ugly thing, as shown here. Lived Gage and Sarah. Gage was so much more than met the eye. The twist ending was sweet. The narrator was okay imo.

Great story!

Love the storyline it kept me wanting to keep listening. Cant wait to read more in the series.
