Not for Me

I was entranced by the idea of spiritually bonding with the spirit of my baby, but there was a lot of focus on removing desires and going full ham into controlling how the child's spirit should feel and need from the get go. There was also a weird amount of world building, which I did not anticipate.

This was really not for me. My child will be their own person, and I want them to know familiarity, love, desire, attachment, and everything that goes with those things. They will learn, grow, and moreover, they will experience life's lessons which is why I believe spirits are born in the first place.

If this is someone else's path and it doesn't harm their child, more power to them. This is not for me though and if my children take on these teachings later in life, it will be because they choose to do so.
