Deep Cries Out to Deep

I couldn't wait to start this book after finishing My Soul to Keep. I NEEDED to know what became of Rhyson and Kai. Down to My Soul is not a stand alone and should be read after book 1 in the series.

At the end of My Soul to Keep Rhyson had a lot to apologize for. His controlling behavior drove a huge wedge between him and Kai and resulted in their separation. I honestly didn't think he could redeem himself. Boy, was I wrong! This book showed a more open and vulnerable Rhyson (along with his alpha side) and I loved it! He truly showed Kai and everyone else how devoted he was to her and their relationship. At times it was borderline obsession, but was totally in line with his personality and character. Unfortunately, I had the opposite reaction to Kai in this book. I respected and really liked her in My Soul to Keep, but this time she came across as whiny, immature, and selfish. I understand that she was terrified of Rhyson's reaction to the big secret, but knowingly deceiving him (especially after the HELL she put him through after his mistake) really made me lose a lot of respect for her. I still love them as a couple, but Rhyson is definitely my favorite of the pair.

Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross were amazing again in this duet narration and both really shined with their emotional performances. They draw the listener in and have wonderful chemistry that worked perfectly for this series. I'll be reading the final book Refrain since there isn't an audiobook available, but I'm glad that this isn't the end of #Kaison.

What made the experience of listening to Down to My Soul the most enjoyable?

Kai and Wen make any story so true like you are living the story, you feel all the emotion and this book as well as book one was som emotoional

I think that this story is very true to life and just life it self was a kick in the teeth for them from the beginng II did not like the end but loved the story and I think it is mae for audio

Great Book

Would you consider the audio edition of Down to My Soul to be better than the print version?

Yes I would. Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott bring something to the story that words alone cannot bring. The bring life to the characters.

What about Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott ’s performance did you like?

I loved everything. They are great narrators and their voices are so animated.

Down To My Soul by Kennedy Ryan was a great book. This was a great continuation of Kai and Rhyson's story. Kai and Rhyson are two characters that you fall in love with and want the best things to happen to. I have enjoyed reading about their journey of music and love. There were many times that I wanted to yell at the both of them but also times that I was so happy for them. I loved this book and can't wait to read more by Kennedy Ryan.

5 Soulful Star’s

I loved book 1, I didn’t like how it ended only because well you have to read it. I am so thankful I got to go right in to this one. The narrators wow, I can’t say enough good things about how they brought this book to life.
The ways they complement each other, I just loved it.

Rhyson, oh I love him but I want to smack him, how did he think she was going to react. Men I have to shake my head. I know what he wanted to happen but it blew up in his face and now he is dealing with the consequences, I feel for the guy I do but a little suffering never hurt anyone… right?

I am just going to randomly put quotes in. Yep so deal. ;)

Kai, I think what she did was the right and wrong thing; I think when you make emotional discussion things fall through the cracks. You can feel her pain in this book. It’s in the narrators words and voice. So it must leap off the page.
You can tell staying away is painful to her but she thinks she is doing what is right. And sometimes our hearts and heads don’t see eye to eye.

‘I live you.’

I also feel the best things in life are things we fight for, so I am glad how things end up working out. But mostly I am glad Kai got to heal from her mother and from her father. Even if just a little bit.

‘Even when we are apart we are together.’

Is it wrong that I loved getting to see all the parts of Rhyson in this book the struggle, the groveling, the love and the pain. Does that make me a little evil if so, so be it. This was one heck of a book.

"No matter what happens, my heart and soul"

I love the love between Rhys and Kai. They love each other fiercely, they find forgiveness, and are fine with being perfectly imperfect. I love how they weathered all the storms together. Another beautiful story in the series.

Rhyson & Kia

Audible Escapes review. I really enjoyed both narrators and the story. I didn't like the disruptive intro music to some chapters.

Rhyson & Kia are able to finally tell each other everything and have their HEA. JP

Absolutely wonderful!

I love this series!! The narrators really bring these characters to life...with the angst and heartbreak and even the joy. It’s such a joy when a wonderful book is just enhanced by great narration. Wen and Kai always play so well off each other.
Just sad that the third book isn’t in audiobook form.

Such a good triology, book 2 doesn't disappoint

Even though I adore love stories, I've never shed a tear over a fictional novel before! Book 2 has me severely annoyed with Kai until she had me cry for her just before the book's turning point. In this installment, Rhy is the hero to end all heroes of romance novels!

Great story and Kai Kennicot knocked this out of the park

Wen Ross has a great voice as Reyson. He didn't show the much needed sensual emotion for me. Other characters voices were narrated beautifully. This two, now three book series did leave me hanging after the first book. Be warned of this. Then after this second book I wasn't left up in the air. Thanks Kendall Ryan for sharing your gift of writing but always offer whisper sync as my eyes aren't great so I flip back and forth. Enjoyed this book so I'm recommending to all hopeless romantics with hot scenes. Tastefully done..

On the way to redemption

Rhyson had to redeem himself for his controlling ways from My Soul To Keep... and he's on his way.

Kai on the other hand. When will characters learn they should just be honest rather than hide secrets. I mean, I know that would eliminate the need for a book. But sometimes you just want to smack some sense into them.

Pretty good story, excited that there is a third book for these two. I wasn't quite ready to say goodbye to them yet.
