Very inspiring
I loved listening to that audio book ! Sahara's advice are very inspiring and I had 'aha' moments from beginning to the end. Knowing your archetype and all the little exercices and questions she's inviting to try and answer are really insightful 🌟

Inspiring but lacking in knowledge
The writer’s message is inspiring and she writes/reads with warmth and conviction. The book inspires me to be more in tune and intentional! However, some facts are off. For example, having studied neuroscience, it is clear to me what the writer states about the brain (and in extension, the implications for dharma) is oversimplified and incorrect. For example, the primal parts of the brain (“lower brain” as she calls it) are not just reactive to threats— they are also very important for intuition, for example. The prefrontal cortex (“higher brain”) is actually down-regulated in flow state, allowing us to let go of restricting beliefs and being more intuitive and present. Often, our fearful beliefs (“higher brain”) is what activates the fear response (“lower brain”). There are many examples but the main issue is that you can’t just divide the brain like that and draw conclusions about dharma. The different (actually there are more than two) parts of the brain are all connected and work together in fascinatingly complex ways. I think the writer would have been better off not going for pseudoscience but rather keeping what she says in the spiritual sphere, where she shines! Also, if you’re not a huge user of social media you may find all the references to followers, Instagram etc a little tiresome. All in all, worth a listen? Yes, I think so. It’s okay not to be perfect. But I hope for the next book that the writer either reads up on her science or doesn’t reference brain science at all. It’s okay not to!

SOUL INSPIRING!!
This book has me feeling TRANSFORMED and INSPIRED. Discover Your Dharma guided me to listen to my calling as an entrepreneur and visionary; and it gave me confidence to honor my dharma. (Dharma is your "unique purpose in the world.") I am a lawyer by profession and have been feeling out of alignment in my career. Sahara Rose explains that when we’re not embodying our dharmas we may feel out of alignment, which, for me, looks like agitation, fatigue, anxiousness, and confusion. Honoring my dharma has allowed me to feel more excitement and joy each day—even when facing challenges.
I’m also obsessed with the meditations and journal prompts included in Discover Your Dharma! They are SOUL healing. If you want to get the most out this book, I recommend reading it a few times (or listening to the audiobook then reading the actual book and working through the prompts). The journal prompts are best when savored and taken slowly—it’s just hard to put the book down to pause once you start reading! :)
The audiobook version is also amazing and Sahara’s voice is energetic and warm. I have Sahara Rose’s other books and cards (Idiot’s Guide to Ayurveda, Eat Feel Fresh, A Yogic Path Oracle Cards, and A Yogic Path Reflective Journal). These have each helped me with soul and physical healing. I have PCOS and these materials have helped me find balance in my life through nourishing my body and practicing yoga and meditation. And now Discover Your Dharma has helped me gain confidence in living my life purpose. I am SOUL grateful!!

This will be one I keep re-reading for a lifetime
If you feel stuck or “in the void” so to speak, Sahara’s deep guidance presented in an easy to grasp method will fill you with inspiration. Her words, stories, archetypes and proven journey make it easy to take that first step towards a healing journey. This is a wonderfully organized book that results in lightbulb moments on every page, bringing the esoteric within easy reach.

I, I, I
This book contains great information, however the author is full of herself and speaks to the novice or listener in a way of compassion, arrogance, immaturity and truth. Majorly worth it but kinda annoying to me because she assumes her listeners are not as spiritual as she, which comes across as full of herself.

Life changing
I don’t even know where to start. This book is absolutely beautiful and life changing. Sahara Rose so gracefully and perfectly channels wisdom from the divine and puts it in words that you can fully understand. Nothing has touched my soul like this book. If you have been searching for a book to help you along your journey, you have found it. I’ve read hundreds of spiritual and self help books and this one is absolutely at the top! I’ve already started to listen to it again and have ordered the hard copy of it. I really don’t have to words to explain! You won’t be sorry about getting this book. Thank you Sahara for your amazing work! When’s the next book???

Ancient wisdom and modern sass make this book your new best friend
Sahara has a well known podcast so her reading her own book was a great choice. She give the inflection that she intended when writing the book and brings the words alive with humor, reverence, and the occasional swear word.
Listening to this book is like sitting down with your best girlfriend over tea or margaritas and just dishing. She delivers wisdom of how to discern your hearts calling and how to put that calling into action and live your highest life.
You can’t go wrong with this book. It’s spiritual in the very realest way. It never feels forced or lacking in authenticity. It will quickly become your go to book in times of trial and times of abundance, and I bet you can’t resist buying a physical copy to go with the audio book!

A Lot of Good Stuff Mixed with Not So Good Stuff
There are great things in this book and I think it is encouraging and great to help people to get past their fears to find things that help them feel alive and driven. As a musician and being warned and told by countless loving individuals not to pursue music, to pursue something more "safe" I can say that I happily have followed her advice before she even wrote it and when she was a child. I wake up daily loving what I do and am grateful I didn't follow the advice of the nay sayers but am also grateful for their warnings and words of caution.
I believe and feel strongly what she teaches about us all having our own unique song to share, not just fluffy mumbo jumbo. I agree with what she says about being weird and feel there is some personal freedom in accepting that. I like Sahara’s analogy of who to kill, the me today, or the future me.
Discover Your Dharma repeated the message over and over to not live for your parents approval, live for what makes you happy, don't get stuck. I am glad that she acknowledged that parents love you, are trying to act in your best interest (though it may not be in your best interest what they advise), that they are acting on what they know. This seems to be a truth grown children often miss and get stuck in “my parents messed me up, and they are the reason I am not happy.”
It is good Sahara acknowledges that parents generally act in the child’s interests and have struggles of their own. I find it helps people take ownership for their actions and it was good she explained how she has found resolve and love with her parents. My story is similar with my parents and their advice not to enter the arts. My father has said “I was wrong” and I am a little surprised he acknowledged that. I like that Sahara empowers the readers and gives clear guidence it is up to us the path we ultimately choose. How bad do we really want this thing or our Dharmas.
I also think it is good saying speaking your language. In chapter 2 she speaks about her people and if the words resonate with you. To me so much of this book seems to be written for women in their early 20's. Often I enjoy the author reading the books but in this case I would feel much more compassion and forgiving if it was someone else that read it. I say that because they way certain things were read I would give a pass that the author wouldn’t emphasize words and phrases that way but in this case it was the author. There is so much valley girl in the way she talks, chapter eight she was on one and decided to up the cussing and for me there were many cringe and awkward spots. WTF which I am grateful to hear that rather than the real thing and plenty of F bombs throughout the book. I guess in her own words I am not her people, and as she said “That’s okay.”
I would love to listen to this with my children but I will take a hard pass and because of so many cringy spots and the language I will not recommend this book to anyone. It feels a lot like enjoying a delicious meal with little bits of turds throughout it.
I had a good friend who was a vegetarian say to me, “you eat fruits and vegetables, so if you invite someone over you don't have to serve meat in the main dish.” I felt that was true and well said and shows kindness. My point is this book could still reach the many people that like the WTF’s and F-Bombs as well as the people that don’t just leaving them out. Yes, like the meatless dish though it might not be as tasty I suppose.
In short perhaps all the "Hell Yeahs" and WTF's, F bombs do something for some people and really make the book resonate with them but for me it was a turn off and I would have personally enjoyed another less valley girl type reader.

One of the best books, full stop.
Well structured and easy to follow, all advice really clear, practical, easy to follow. I was quite skeptical when Sahara said in the beginning of the book that by the end of it I will know my dharma and know exactly what to do. But she was right - I do! Didn’t expect to have so much clarity so fast. Thank you Sahara 💚
