While dining at a bistro in Cambridge, England on a rainy evening, an older married couple navigate friction over their drink choices, their shared past and plans for the following day. As they place their orders, the man reflects on the difficulties they faced when they were young and newly married, when life threw several tragedies at them. As cathedral bells across the street ring out a wedding reception and a young couple at a nearby table toy with love, the man must decide how to move forward in the relationship.
