Dark, wild ride

I have read this book and the narration brought it to a whole new level. The narrators that were chosen were absolutely perfect, Abby had that strong yet vulnerable tone that made Liv come to life and Teddy sounded the perfect age of innocence that Van would have had.

Pam Godwin is a literary genius for the type of books that I love to read. The way she is able to reinvent concepts is absolutely brilliant.

In Deliver, we meet Liv and Van. They have been trained to take why their customer wants, train the way their customer has demanded and then deliver the product to the consumer.

It just so happens that their product is human and they are selling sex slaves. It's dark, it's twisted and it's depraved and just when you think you have it all figured out and Pam has shown her cards, you quickly realize it was a rouse and you know nothing. This keeps me turning pages without the ability to stop.

5 star, one click worthy. Hands down.

WOW!

At first I thought this was a sport lover dark romance so I immediately disliked .It and never tried .It after listening to just a few minutes. Then recently I decided to give .It another chance after seeing some of the reviews on the latest released title from this series. It's so absoutely not anything like I could of imagined or ev en like some of the other series out there in the dark romance series and at times I was so disgusted with the characters until I realized
at the end what was really going o and I never saw that as the way anything was headed or actually was. What an orginal series just exceptional in its orgininality,suspense, horror, twists, and turns. Definitely worth a credit and your time investing in the series!

Dark romance with HEA and 3rd POV. Standalone

Pretty good book if you are looking for a dark romance. It’s part of a series but can be read by itself. I would have liked more info of their HEA but I know that the couple show up in other books in the series.

Sooo Dark!

I loved this book and the audible was great to listen to. I am a huge fan of Teddy's and I enjoy listening to Abby. Their voices were perfect for the characters. This was a dark but sad book with a little romance, finally, at the end. It deals with the slave trade, living and surviving that world and overcoming a horrible man who started it all. I am listening to Book 2 now because even though Van was bad, he had some good in him and I want to see it.

Dark emonital book with a happy ending

This book is such a dark, emotional audible. It tore my heart out so many times. I felt bad for liking Liv even though she did not choose to do any of this. I felt terrible for everything that that she went through. Then later finding out what she did. I definitely did not see that happening. She is such a strong amazing character. I loved Josh from the beginning. He was not willing to back down or give in. He put up with a lot in his capitivty and came out stronger foebit. I love how he was able to trust and see through Liv. The ending was perfect. This is the first book of Pam Godwin's that I have read or listened to but will definitely listen to more.

Teddy Hamilton did amazing narrating Josh. He brought out his strength and personality. Abby Craden also did an amazing job with Liv's voice and all the others. I would love to listen to these narrators again!

Great story

Liv falls for her captive, Josh fall for his capture . They are both prisoners to a sex trafficker. The things tying them to the trafficker are personal, real. Just how can Josh save her from him and keep everyone safe? Great twisting story you’ll not anticipate. Budding love is fast and sadistic. But the virgin readily complies , against all he’s been brought up to know... my fist of this author, and I love it... much like Pepper Winter’s stories... Abby and Ted are fabulous.. the sinister in Abby’s voice is gut wrenching and pulled me right in!

Godwin does it again! Make your own opinion!

I will admit, after starting this book and recognizing the dynamic of female mistress and a male "pain sl**", I thought to myself that it wasn't going to do it for me. That type of relationship is appealing to me, but it's usually the other way around in the books I read and this was different and outside my comfort zone. I will admit, not being familiar with it, I made assumptions and didn't consider that he could still be possessive and protective, which Josh certainly was. Oh, and Josh is more of a switch than anything else, so don't worry, ladies, you'll get that alpha attitude with Josh's story. These characters had depth and a complex but beautifully created relationship. Don't write Liv or Josh off, give them a chance. They will surprise you, the way they both show their vulnerabilities to one another, shifting the control and giving the other what they need in that moment. The storyline was excellent, as usual from Pam, and I am SO glad I didn't let the negative reviews keep me from listening and making my own opinion on the book. Van's story is probably going to be more my speed, but this book was a departure from my norm and I'm surprised at how much I enjoyed it. The writing was brilliant, and while there were a few lulls here and there, by no means was I bored by the story at any point. I also saw negative reviews claiming that their relationship developed far too fast. I strongly disagree. Liv didn't reach her breaking point and finally decide not to push Josh away by wearing a mask (literally and figuratively) until almost 5 hours in, almost halfway through the story. How that is too fast, I'll ever understand. Josh liked her from the start, saw the good in her, and refused to give up on her even without knowing why or what to think of her. People complained about the religious aspect, saying Ms Godwin must not like religion; well maybe not, we don't know, but from what I heard, there's no evidence to support such a theory. I believe that the religious aspect was supposed to symbolize that Josh was already imprisoned in a way before being captured and also to illustrate the desperation and desolation of his situation when he was caught. I'll never understand some of the reviews I read... so don't make the mistake I almost made, give the book a fair shot. The ending will twist you up, throw what you think you know back in your face, and make you want more (hence the other books in the Deliver series). I'm excited to hear Van's story; he's clearly a sock man but I can't wait to see him heal and be healed by a woman that can handle his crazy ways. In conclusion, buy it and try it and reserve your judgment until the very end. You'll be glad you did.

Intense. Hold your pearls...

More between 4.5 but some points weren’t as easy to follow when there were flashbacks. This book was dark. Darker than I normally go. I’m ashamed to admit how much I enjoyed it because the feminist in me tells me I shouldn’t. It was a dark romance where consensual wasn’t a requirement. There was a lot of force and being “taken” as Liv, the mistress who was kidnapped and trained as a slave and by an ill fated decision forces her into the life of kidnapping.

She worked with her capturer of 7 years, who was also abused and abused her but didn’t see himself as a victim and was beyond saving. She chose the boys, he chose the girls. Liv chooses Josh to be the slave to be trained, a Christian “all American” jock for reasons only known to her and in an intense 2 weeks, finds he’s the one who will save her.

It was intense but I enjoyed it. It goes beyond everything I stand for but the writing had a lot of back story that made me feel for everyone, and the twist made me grateful that Liv really was a good person(even though, yeah...you gotta read to find out).

I won’t stick my nose at books like this again but they have to have the right plot.

If you like dark romance, this is the book for you! So completely different from anything else I have read!

GrGreat read on the process of human trafficking

This book really takes you into the world of a kidnapped person and how the are prepared to be sex slaves and are never heard from again.
