In Chosen by God, Sproul shows that the doctrine of predestination doesn't create a whimsical or spiteful picture of God, but paints a portrait of a loving God who provides redemption for radically corrupt humans. We choose God because he has opened our eyes to see his beauty; we love him because he first loved us. There is mystery in God's ways, but not contradiction. Dr. Sproul shows how election is entirely compatible with human freedom, dignity, and responsibility.

Histoire
I Don't Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist argues that Christianity requires the least faith of all worldviews because it is the most reasonable. The authors lay out the evidence for truth, God, and the Bible in logical order and in a readable, non-technical, engaging style. A valuable aid to those interested in examining the reasonableness of the Christian faith, Geisler and Turek provide a firm challenge to the prior beliefs of doubters and skeptics.

Militant atheism is on the rise. In recent years, Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris, Daniel Dennett, and Christopher Hitchens have produced a steady stream of best-selling books denigrating religious belief. These authors are merely the leading edge of a larger movement that includes much of the scientific community. In response, mathematician David Berlinski, himself a secular Jew, delivers a biting defense of religious thought.

The Gospels - Matthew, Mark, Luke, John - are four accounts of Jesus' life and teachings while on earth. But should we accept them as historically accurate? What evidence is there that the recorded events actually happened? Presenting a case for the historical reliability of the Gospels, New Testament scholar Peter Williams examines evidence from non-Christian sources, assesses how accurately the four biblical accounts reflect the cultural context of their day, compares different accounts of the same events, and more.

Histoire
An inspiring new perspective on the science versus religion debate. Can science explain everything? Many people think so. Science, and the technologies it has spawned, has delivered so much to the world: Clean water; more food; better healthcare; longer life. And we live in a time of rapid scientific progress that holds enormous promise for many of the problems we face as humankind. So much so, in fact, that many see no need or use for religion and belief systems that offer us answers to the mysteries of our universe. Science has explained it, they assume. Religion is redundant.
Description
Dr. Sproul surveys the history of apologetics and demonstrates that reason and science are your allies in defending the existence of God and the historical truth claims of Jesus Christ.

Good, but a bit too theoretical than practical.
Listeners should note that this actually a series of lectures by Sproul recorded live in a lecture hall rather than an actual eBook. Still though it listens good. Sproul will put your mind thinking.

Clear, concise and cogent
Would you listen to Defending Your Faith again? Why?
Yes. It has so many fruits that I'm sure I didn't get them all the first two or three times. I continued backing up my player to listen to some concept to make sure I had heard it correctly.
Who was your favorite character and why?
N/A
Have you listened to any of R. C. Sproul’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Nope. First time. But I just ordered two of his books in hard copy and another one from audible.com. Outstandingly clear. You may not agree with him but it won't be because you don't understand what he says.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Awesome. First book on apologetics that I thoroughly understood.
Any additional comments?
Interesting, especially with metaphors and anecdotes to emphasize points. Cogent, proceeds from the simple to the complex with each step thoroughly explained without being verbose.

Intelligent defense for the christian faith
Would you consider the audio edition of Defending Your Faith to be better than the print version?
I always love hearing audio from the author because they covey their ideas and points of emphasis more clearly.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Defending Your Faith?
What stands out to me the most is the author's complete destruction of the concept of self creation. I was fed that garage as a biology major in college and made to feel stupid for my faith in God.
What does R. C. Sproul bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The author pointed out how most people just accept any concept without question if a seemingly intelligent person presents the concept in a sincere and forceful way. He demonstrated from one of his own classroom experiences as a teacher by giving a false assertion that not only the students bought but a visiting professor didn't see through.
Any additional comments?
This is a must read for all Christians and all non Christians because it clearly not only establishes the possibility of the existence of God but the absolute necessity of the existence of God. Then the book moves on to show that the bible is not only reliable and credible by Christian standards but also by secular standards.

I Have Just Discovered Sproul Of Late...
but I am finding him quite engaging, and, refreshingly intelligent in his approach to theology. I was raised in a non-Calvinist Christianity, but I find Sproul's exegesis clear and comprehensible and true to the orthodox faith. This makes two of his books I have read, and I will be reading more in future.

Solid defense
A lot of philosophy in the beginning but necessary to establish. R.C's Systematic Thrology series may be more suited to those looking for another apologoist resource

Excellent tool to reinforce one's faith walk and address those that will challenge that same faith. Enough content to not only start the conversation but also enough to give an answer.

Great audio book
I really enjoyed listening to this book, very into depth in explaining the proof of the existence of God and of the Bible. One of those books that you can go over and over again to learn and catch something new!

The Presupposition Apologists View Is Lacking
As a reformed guy I've viewed myself as a presuppositionalist but it felt it was empty. I also think the evidentiallist view is flawed. RC Sproul gives undeniable proofs for the existence of God. He calls this the classical view of apologetics.
I highly recommend this book!
