    Very interesting

    I always stress out too much. I have no idea what happens to me when it happens, but this book explains it very well and focuses on the stress hormone we all choose to ignore. More importantly, it talks about tips and solutions to reduce cortisol.

    Wow

    Wow! Wow! Wow! I didn't realize that the biggest stress cause was the cortisol in my system. I like that this book goes over how to reduce cortisol. Great solutions.

    Interesting stuff

    I never thought of the impact of cortisol, and what causes that neurotransmitter or hormone to be released in our system. Great information.

    Best to relax

    If you want to relax, you can buy some of those relaxation CDs or you can just get this book and learn what really makes us stressed.

    Not worth it

    This book is basically one endless list of the effects of cortisol on the body, told in 20 different ways. Every chapter seemed to start with the same overview and the lists, although I'm sure are accurate, are so boringly presented I mostly tuned out. There is a small amount of information on how to manage elevated cortisol and this is it: find ways to relax: meditation, walking, sex etc. Get 8 hours sleep a night. Take supplements of ashwagandha, curcumin, reishi mushroom and valerian. Listen to brainwave entertainment/binaural meditations. Though you can find all this info on a 5 minute internet search anyway.

    Stress kills

    I didn't realize it before, but so many things that relate to our health, have something to do with cortisol and stress hormone production. Very nice book. I loved it.

    Best book on this topic

    I looked for other books with the same keywords and couldn't seem to find them. This is definitely the best one.
