Description

With Paul Noble’s simple, relaxed approach you will learn in a way that suits you – without having to memorise long lists of words you won’t use, scribbling notes as you listen, or feeling frustrated. Instead, Paul will help you build on what you learnt in Learn French with Paul Noble for Beginners – Part One, and guide you through over 3 hours of everyday scenarios that are practical, fun, and applicable. Just listen, interact, and learn wherever you are.

A native-speaking French expert will help you to perfect your pronunciation as you progress through the course. You will learn a huge range of vocabulary in no time at all, and be able to quickly make your new knowledge work for you in a variety of everyday scenarios. A downloadable booklet is also included to use as a reference and revision tool.

Paul Noble left school unable to speak a language – having found that the traditional learning methods left him feeling ‘confused, incapable and unable to really say anything’. Determined that there must be a better way to learn, Paul spent years devising his own unique method of learning languages which cuts out all the grammar, all the memorisation, and all the stress. He began using his method to teach in his Language Institute and, thousands of students later, he prides himself on never having had a student fail.

This download is Part Two of a three-part course. Once you’ve finished Part Two, download Learn French with Paul Noble for Beginners – Part Three.

Review of part 2- same as last 3 hrs of part 1

I really enjoyed part 1 so I purchased part 2, even though I was surprised the length of time was just over 3hrs as it seemed short I was disappointed when I started listening to find that this audible book part 2 is the exact same as what I have listened too in part 1. If you already have part 1 the 12 hr audible then do not buy part 2 as it is not new and is included already in part 1

Nice job

Gives a lot of practice on the practical of getting around in a French speaking country. I asked my daughter, a high school student who is very smart and has been taking French for five years, a few of the questions from this series and she couldn't come up with the answer. She said it was too complicated from the French she learned well in school. So that made me feel justified in spending the time. Feel if I get through the third and fourth series of four - which I believe is equivalent to the 12 CDs- I will be very prepared to interact on a basic level in a French speaking place. This series was a bit over three hours, but it probably took at least six for me to get through. However, I have limited time and would have to go back a few minutes each time because I had forgotten the last things where I left off. (He does say to go back if you are struggling a lot with something because the more you hear it, the more it gets reinforced.) Great teacher if you do as instructed and stop and think before you speak instead of letting it tell you the answer.

Paul Noble is a wonder.

By far these language courses made by Paul Noble and put out by Harper Collins are the best I imagine possible in a strictly audio format. He is so bright and at the same time so calm and reassuring. The native female helping him with examples complements him wonderfully. This is the easiest way to learn a language. Pair this with online drills like Duolingo and a video-chat tutor, as well as some French TV and you'll feel competent in the language in relatively very little time. I can't wait to move on to the other languages in this series. The prospect is not daunting now at all, but rather something I'm addicted to like my favorite rock band's new album.

tried them all. . . . this was by far the best

In anticipation of a trip to France, where I'd never been before, and because I had never attempted the language, I tried all the French language learners available on Audible. This was by far superior to every other method. It was both substantive and accessible, providing practical information with a reasonable explanation of the grammatical points necessary to speak competently in French. It provided invaluable as I spent a month in France and was, after making some adaptations for Provence, understood by the locals 99 prevent of the time. I was never in a situation where I couldn't convey the basics of what I needed or wanted. Highly recommended.

Great approach!

Paul noble does a fantastic job of teaching languages. I love the approach he takes. We learn by being constantly exposed to things instead of deliberately trying to memorize. I grew up in a Spanish speaking household and learned English at a very young age. I don't remember learning English at all. I just remember being in front of other English speaking kids and I started speaking it. I can relate to this approach because it's how I learned English very young. I know a child's developing brain is different of that of an adult. But the approach for learning a language is, in my opinion, the perfect way to learn a language. I recommend Paul noble to any friend trying to learn a language.

The best language learning Audible out there!

Noble and his co-teacher are excellent teachers! This is hands down the best way to learn for me. I wish there were more Audible books out like this; it really feels like you are being taught by a tutor that is listening to you.

Best I've Ever Tried

I have no free time. I work 3 jobs and come home to my wife and our 11 month old child. But with Paul's audio books I was able to practice my French in my car on my way to and from work.

FANTASTIC! It Works!

If you want something different from the norm, that you can count on working, this is pretty reliable. The only reason I gave it 4 stars on performance is that I feel Paul should have the narrator say longer sentences slowly and also at a normal pace. The narrator is fantastic and Paul is fantastic -- but sometimes when a sentence is long and you have to say "why" with a negative and an irregular verb and omg your mind is trying to put it all together.... lol.... it would be helpful if everytime, the narrator said the sentence slowly (pronouncing every word) and at normal pace. That way we can see we got it right, or see what words we forgot. Otherwise, it's friggin fantastic!!!!! Even with the fast translation I still got it after listening to it a couple of times.

Refreshing , Easy to Learn Approach

I had two years of high school French and loved it. 50 years later Paul Noble’s conversational approach makes it easy to remember. I’ll try his Spanish Audible books too. There is story in the sense that the method is cumulative. Each chapter and book builds on the previous one.

Best language audible yet

I have tried multiple language software and books. Paul truly understands how to slowly apply what you have learned so that you are not overwhelmed.
