Inconsistent Characters and Plot

This is one of those simplistic books that has engineered events in them to further the plot, where things happen or people do things that don't make sense and are out of character just to make a statement. I'm halfway through the third booklet and I'm calling it the quits because yet one more absurd thing just happened, namely the staff just said that her dragon has not manifested any powers despite the dragon already doing so at least two times previous with witnesses and physical damage as proof. The so-called school also seems extremely poorly thought out. Despite it being entirely for training dragon riders, it's like they are hardly even set up for dragons and they certainly didn't teach the kids how to care for dragons before giving them to the kids. And then, above all, it is not very interesting to listen to, either, unless you like the most basic of teenage dramas. Yes, ok, it is no doubt a young adult book, but most young adults would roll their eyes at this stuff. It is more like a flawed children's book.

Cross Harry Potter with How to Train your Dragon

Dragonriders of Pern was suggested as a comparison for this book. But Pern is an adult series and this one is too much young adult for me. Not bad but not close enough to Pern for me.

Fun Audible Listen

Good storyline and engaging pace. Will continue the series after this first books 1 - 3.

Comment: I must admit that these “3 books” really should only qualify as “1” given the actual length of this performance. But again, good story so far.

A Child Positive about becoming a DragonRider

This is a story about a young girl who's parents were both Dragon Riders killed in Battle. Who is dead set that her destiny is to become a Dragon Riders. Main character is bullheaded, determined, but thinks most thing through. She never bothered to develop friends because all of her energy and time was being spent on learning all she could to become the best.

The Underdogs Rise

I am in love with the Brindle Dragon series! Eicd is the daughter of dragon riders who know this is her destiny. She passes many trials and gains unlikely friends along the way. She bonds with a dragon that seems unlikely to attain full growth, yet possesses unique abilities. I've only listened to the first 3 books and can't wait to dive into the rest of the series. The narration is good. There seemed to be 1 or 2 inconsistencies in the story line but then again, I tend to anticipate. So I'll wait to see if these are explained. But so far - don't underestimate the newbies!

I started @ the tail end only to end up @the start . This is truly a master @ work. start from the beginning and carry thorough to the end!!!! Hold on for and unforgettable ride, minus the name pronunciation, and vocal changes, and you'll will see its worth it!!!
