Description
Cauldrons Call, by New York Times best-selling author Kristen Proby, is the highly anticipated second book in the Curse of the Blood Moon series.
Breena has known Giles all her life—and has loved him for nearly as long. Linked by the ties of family and coven, Breena has had a lifetime to discover everything there is to know about him. His intelligence and specialization in crystals and gems are truly things to admire, but it’s how he smiles at her that really makes her cauldron bubble. Too bad he’s completely oblivious.
Giles isn’t as oblivious as Breena thinks he is. A powerful witch, he’s spent most of his life hiding his true feelings from her, but he can’t ignore the fact that she’s hurting and plagued by the same nightmares that haunt him every night. So, getting her to move in with him so he can do just that seems like simple common sense. The hard part will be resisting the way Breena makes him feel.
But evil has invaded their world, and it has the power to kill every witch in Salem. Breena has no time to wallow in what might have been and Giles desire to protect her is stronger than the power contained in his crystals. Together they must lift the curse of the blood moon before time runs out. If they can’t, the people Breena loves the most are all in danger. It will take every skill she’s honed as a witch to protect what’s hers and the man who cast a spell on her heart.
Will they have time to kindle their love for each other, or will the clock run out at the hands of fate?

Loving this Series
I can't wait for book 3 which will come out in October. Perfect timing as Samhain will begin at sunset on 10/31/23. Totally enjoying the series but I do wish everyone would stop going off alone. There is a killer after you and each of you continue to run errands as if it's safe to go alone instead of being smart and having at least one person with you as back-up. That's not weakness it's smart. Also, Breena's self-doubt is going to get her killed. Even at the end when things happened she brushed them off to her being tired or stressed instead of "See Something, Say Something". As if that's hard to do. Because every time one of them sees something it turns out to be important.

4 Stars
Magical, dangerous, and romantic.
Brenna is an amazing hearth witch. Her talents are endless. She is one of the sweetest people you could possibly know and he’s always looking out for the good of others. Brenna has had it for Giles for as long as she can remember. When her secret is outed, she finds it hard to believe that he has the same feelings.
Giles knows everything there is to know about minerals, gems and stones. Amazing at his craft. He’s also an amazing resource for the witch community. Giles two has had his emotions all tangled up in Brenna for as long as he can remember. Knowing that she feels the same way, allows him to act upon those feelings, although she thinks his reasons are on true.
With evil still in the air, Salem is not safe. Giles and Brenna begin to cultivate a relationship while working together along with the fellow members of their community to read this evil that has been plugging them. They thought it was gone, but yet it was just waiting for that moment to reveal itself once again. Kristen Proby has created an amazingly magical and romantic story. I love the blending of the different times and seeing magic at its finest. Love blooming in different ways and overcoming the obstacles they are faced with.
Cauldrons Call is a thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining magical romantic read. Or listen as I should properly say.

Loving this series!
This is the second book in The Curse of the Blood Moon series and I loved it! If you haven't listened to the first book in this series, Hallows End, you really need to in order to have a full understanding and appreciation of the continuing story and characters. I have enjoyed Kristen Proby's paranormal series and this one is turning out to be just as good. The combination of contemporary characters and paranormal historical characters brings a new twist to a familiar story of witches and ghosts in Salem, MA. Something old, something new, something spooky and something "whew", this book had everything I was looking for and more. Steamy, charming, spooky, romantic, thrilling, and all around satisfying, this book hits the spot.
Sebastian York and Samantha Brentmoor give an incredible performance and are perfectly cast in this unique story and will keep you on the edge of your seat and staying up way too late listening to this book.

Second In The Series
Kristen Proby is killing it with Cauldrons Call, her newest release in The Curse Of The Blood Moon series, with the story beginning right where Hallows End leaves off. This is Breena and Giles story and things have calmed down a bit for Breena, her two cousins Lucy and Lorelei and the rest of the Coven, but not for long.
A sense of foreboding quickly becomes evident and odd things begin to occur once again as Beltane begins to draw near. As Breena and Giles grow closer working together to help solve the curse that hangs over them all, the entity that had trapped Breena in her cottage at the end of Hallows End has returned to ramp up the evil and take what it feels is its due.
There is a very sweet romance between Breena and Giles, and Kristen Proby always brings the heat, but this story for me was more about the magic and the very palpable spookiness that have come to be a signature that Kristen brings to her paranormal books. I definitely wanted the house lit up for my late-night reading and avoided looking into any mirrors before turning off the lights! Cauldrons Call is another great book in this series, and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
Excellent narration from Sebastion York and Samantha Brentmoore, both are very enjoyable to listen to.

Another great witchy audiobook
I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook. The narration was fantastic.
This addition to The Curse of the Blood Moon series was just as entranced in this book as Hallows End. Breena and Giles finally get their story after both of them pining over the other and not thinking they had a chance with the other. I loved the evolution of their relationship from being friends with Breena having a crush on Giles being public all the way to the end at the wedding. Add in a little forced proximity since Breena’s house was where everything went down in Hallows End and they had the perfect opening for them to fall in love with each other.

Cauldrons Call
Yes please more, more. I jumped into this series because of the author. I am sticking to it because the story has me by the throat.
I am invested in Breena and Giles. After being outed by her friends, her feelings for Giles were so obvious to everyone but him. She was feeling all the feels. But also trying to avoid Giles because she was embarrassed. But it opened Giles eyes that she was right in front of his face this whole time.
Then you add the spirit that is trying to harm them and the spell that needs breaking before it's too late and you have one heck of a page turner.
Giles convinces Breena to move in because the spirit isn’t being kind at all and has them all spooked but Breena was taken over once, so she isn’t looking forward to that happening again so she agrees.
The sparks fly and Giles is so patient but also lets her know that he wants her and is willing to do what it takes to prove it.
Fantastic book, I don’t want to give away what happens with the spirit but let's just say book 3 better come out soon because the next couple I neeeeeed to know if they get their HEA!!
The narration is fantastic. I mean SebYo and Samantha are a perfect pairing. I need more of this in my life.

A great second installment
Breena and Giles are meant to be. Now if they can keep the evil from destroying all of the witches in the coven. This story was brought to life by Sebastian York and Samantha Brentmoor. I'm looking forward to the next book already.
